You are attributing Jordan which only bumped attendance up 60% but the Bad Boy Pistons were in full Force as well when Jordan was a rookie. People were watching them because of their WWE type of fouls. You either loved them or hated them. CC is more akin to Dr J, entering the league after the ABA merger. You used to have to watch tape replays of the games after midnight until the Doctor was in the house. he was the original person that got the NBA their tv contracts and money started to get money to flow into the league. Jordan copied a lot of Dr J's moves including his iconic FT line dunk. Even similar, You weren't a basketball player if you didn't own a Dr J poster (and they only had like 3), and similarly you aren't a WNBA fan if you don't own a CC jersey. ABC is showing the CC game, while the others are buried on ESPN. It will be interesting to see if ABC advertises the game on ABC as CC versus the Suns. All the advertisement for Swoopes at the beginning of the league, is the main reason why anyone had ever heard of her. It will be interesting to see if the viewership for the Fever game is more then the other 3 games combined which would be funny. The bracket is set up so there is a potential for a CC vs Wilson in the Finals.

It would be fitting if Caitlin took her game to Europe and left the WNBA. Just imagine the financial impact that would have on this league. If the owner of the Atlanta Dream is representative of the WNBA, the future of the WNBA without Clark is black, lesbian, woke and broke.
