Have you ever made a good quality stove pipe damper? These 6" cast iron dampers always wear out, well I guess the spring on the damper rod wears out actually, but I bet something handmade would last forever. I would buy one if you made it. Love watching this stuff. My great grandfather was a blacksmith back in the 1950's. I love seeing old pictures of his shop, hearing about all the inventions he would design to make his work go much easier. Thanks for making these videos!

I love the sound of the metal when it is hot as opposed to when it is cold. Clack not cling hot metal doesn’t ring.

I have been watching your older videos John, since I have finally gotten an anvil and a nice square rounding hammer. You sir, have always been informative and interesting but your videography skills have travelled light years! I am not saying there was anything wrong with what you did at the time. You have worked hard and honed skills that support what you are accomplishing communicating here with exceptional polish and true cinematography. Kudos John.

Thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The handle shape could be an asset to various tools. Maybe a few more visits to see where this might lead? Please?

Hey John saw some of the comments from the other video on Twisting Angle Iron, and some saying to make it into an ‘Ornamental Grip or a handle’, love that you’re interacting with comments and taking ideas into consider, keep up the good work.

Hey there. I found you through the "shorts" videos. Love what you do. I've always been fascinated with this type of work and metal forming. I'm a dairy farm milker. And my hands and shoulders are destroyed from all the squeezing and so forth. I'm 33. Wanted to ask how your hands are holding up. Or if you have any tricks or tips. Thanks. Steve from Pennsylvania

The biggest thing is not using to heavy of a hammer and keeping a relaxed grip.

Great little projects like that you should maybe auction them off, I think all those little projects would bring in a little more income, I however can't enter any auction as I live in Scotland. P&Pwould be to expensive... I will have to get an old oxy bottle... Have a great summer. blacksmith.

I had not heard. I haven't had a whole lot of time for KZbin as of late. That is very unfortunate. Hopefully you can get your numbers back without it taking to long.
