I had curve 8520 in 2011 and the best feature of this phone is it's network signal, never fails even in closed or far places. Just broke my android phone so I looked for a new device online. I saw this same unit on a local online store and I bought it for less than $30.00.

I had a Blackberry Curve at first, then move on to Blackberry Dakota and the last Blackberry i used was Blackberry Torch. I really had fun with this phones, they are very helpful when it comes to school works and contacting friends and family. The keypad was pretty small and it makes it easy to type back in the days, very fast to reply messages. Basic browser for Google and website works fine, KZbin is a little bit slow but it's adequate. Love Blackberry, so sad that it's gone now

Just bought a brand new 2010 9300 curve in stormtrooper white. The curves are the best phones if you just want to text and call. Battery life is untouchable.

You might rule out an old phone as your daily driver, but what about as a secondary? A pre-Android phone doesn't track your location and (in Blackberry's case) consumes hardly any battery on standby. It's great for texting, an MP3 player, or for kids.

That's true of BB OS 5 and 6 phones: the Curve 9360 I owned (which was my first BlackBerry) had the shortest battery life I've ever experienced with any phone, from other BlackBerries to my iPhone SE. OS 7 was a huge step up but RIM had already given up at that point (even the beautiful Bold 9900 hadn't a great battery, plus it lacked autofocus which was baffling even then).

I have 2 Blackberry's: a Bold 9000 from my dad and a Curve 8520 from my aunt. From the Bold 9000 what I loved the most was the trackpad shaped as a sphere and from the Curve, the games. In both, I loved the simplicity of not having to see everything complicated, but in both I hated the internet. And don't say to think in 2010, because I used the Bold in 2014 and the internet was horreful LOL! But great video, I'm going to buy a new battery for the Curve, because the batteries from both phones got blown up...

i absolutely love this video. I recognise those locations as im a londoner too! I got that same phone recently for a digital detox from the iphone, i love the keyboard, battery life, size and warm feeling it has compared to a touch screen. whats funny is the timing the video was uploaded :) im gonna buy a curve 9360 too because the emai etup on 8520 is too ancient too work. great video and have a good day! #bringbackblackberry

Just got notice from O2 that they're ending BIS, argh! Am going to move to Vodaphone for now but that will probably end at some point. I love my small, light curve with it's brilliant connection (still better in some areas than some of my friends' new phones). I also love the ability to take the battery out to reboot, magic.

i have a blackberry curve just out of fascination, i cannot understand why people would like these diddy little buttons they are hard to press. if they were bigger i could understand but they are too small to do anything fast on. the screen is tiny. My first smart phone was Iphone 4 i still have it for some apps that wont work on the newer models i switched to android years ago i kept all of my smart phones. If you got signal problems maybe its the network provider you are with as smart phones should not have any issues unless the signal is passing through a lot of buildings.

Nice Video TechFusions (didn't catch your name on the last part of the video) My Blackberry 8520 still works, but all the rubber on the side just evaporated/melted away. can still use it as a "PHONE" Calls and Texts. I use it to disconnect and be free with nature when I go on Riding.

I think that was a downside of the phone, although it was much cheaper (I think anyway) than the iPhone. We always wonder what Blackberry would have been like today if they stayed on top of the smartphone market!

I still do use a blackberry to get my daily stuffs done with, Its a q5, running on the Os version 10. As it supports all the apps I need with the android version for them, I'm pretty happy with it to have as my second device and I barely will think about getting it replaced anytime so far!

@@isthisjune8155 doesn't support whatsapp officially, although there're a lot of loopholes available to use. It is supposed by the most of the carriers in India. The one,I use is BSNL which is a government undertaken service provider

I have an 8520 Curve. Use it on Word to Go programme to store info and use non internet functions. Alarm; address book and have a pay go phone card registered and active. Plus a separate full size keyboard which Is paired to the phone. I like its size and portability

I have one that I use BBerry 9320 and for racing. However, several times the sound of the mp3 in the headphone is interrupted by a beep and it appears on your display "say now" or "listening"... It seems like a kind of voice search, I don't know... I press back and I go back to physical activity and a few seconds later the process happens again several times in a row... then I have to turn off and take out the battery to go back... HELP!!
