The Passport is simply the best ✨ Emails, documents, music, speakers etc. Bought the Keyone Black, went back to Passport after a few months. Using an iPhone SE on the side for apps

I am currently using the passpsort se and I love it. One thing people trying to decide which one to get should think about is the fact that the os on the passport is bb10. And the fact that they are no longer giving the passports android runtime updates. It currently has android runtime 4.3 and a lot apps now are updating to 4.4 and above so this is slowly rendering the passports more and more useless for people that use a lot of apps (most people) I wish they could release updates for that but unfortunately because of the deal they have with android now that their devices are running only android, they can no longer release runtime updates for their bb10 devices :( as of right now only a few have stopped working but its only a matter of time. But I still love the passport and its stunning design. I am really liking what the keyone is offering and will probably switch sometime in the future. I really hope they come out with a passport version 2 that runs android. I will buy it in a heartbeat!

Why don’t they make. Passport but like a wider phone with the screen laid down and add a numeric pad to fit the space on the side, tihs would give a 16;9 ratio, for vids and a wide screen for emails. Why does the phone have to be up right? Then even for FB and insta, etc, it is media, you just use the keypad for scrolling down the side and the on screen keypad could pop up this way when orientated this way and physical keyboard for email etc the other way.

Nicko Porras Unfortunately the passport for apps is dead in the water, so it is just a phone with email and texting (like old old blackberrys) so no apps. This is no good for 99% of users and I still think to much for a basic phone. Don’t get me wrong, best Blackberry I have owned, loved it. But with BB10 now discontinued it is a paper weight.

Having Passport & awesome of its screen & keys. Only disappointing is lack of android. After spending so much on it 2 years back can't throw away at scrap. Passport must be upgraded with Android.

If you install the application package following the instructions exactly as described on the following link you will be able to install, use and update just about any Android app; but it has to be done just as explained on Cobalt's guidelines. strictlyplatonic2007 No it is getting old now and apps run slow and don’t always work. It is all slipping aways as nothing is supported now. Passport although a great phone can’t work as a smartphone as it is now ring fenced. It is only a basic phone which can do emails and texts. Sadly.

I have both the Passport and the KEYone. Unfortunately the Passport is using OS-10. OS-10 will soon no longer be supported. I am using both the BB Motion and the KEYone. I like them both. If it was possible to put the Passport on to the Android OS and be reliable, I would like to do it. I put both the KEYone and the Motion in to silicon gel protection cases. I like the combination a lot.

@@VoloKinProject I use word replacement method for Latvian special characters (ā ē ī ū č ģ ķ ļ ņ š ž), but it doesn't work everywhere on system. I just got two phones for replacement - Keyone and XA2. So far Keyone is disapointment and I really don't like gestures for Android. There is one trick left for XA2 and that is Sailfish OS, I will try it next week. I might go back to Passport if I manage few issues.

You can toggle wifi on Keyone if you don't fully expose the toggles. Just do the swipe down first (when you see 6 of the toggles) and then you can turn it off.

If you touch quick and gently in the icon, you can activate and inactive the WiFi. Like in the passport...! My dream phone is just the passport with android, I will say. I am really sad about this situation with BB10 and the apps. Passport is for me the best phone ever...
