CaptainDave I will when I will have a job,I am 16 but I will start working next year probably and I will buy this one because it will become even cheaper and the note 4 because the note 5 will not even have expandability plus the fact that I don't like a round phone I prefer the businessy roundless look with round and chamfered edges and the Note is great for that wonderfull pen and the android entertainment experience while I prefer the Passport for it's nice keyboard and the BB10 experience,it really feels better than Ios,but I would like to be able to emulate Ios apps in the future on the Note 4.

JosephKing75 CBP you'll never be able to emulate iOS apps on an android. a cheap iTouch or used iPad will do the job if thats what you want.

Too Soon Junior my typical battery life on the original passport lasted me from 6 am in the morning to 3 am the next day. Probably even more on a good day. And that was with semi heavy use. Lower the screen display and you get way more...

I had the first gen black Blackberry Passport and i loved it! Sadly i had to part ways with it. I miss it so much, the level on functionality it offers is amazing, it's only phone that would let you keep KZbin running in the background while you do other things. It offered true multi-tasking! And the battery life was insane! I would get a full day with moderate to heavy use. I'm definitely getting this Silver Edition it fixed all the design flaws that the first gen had. I'm excited!

Blackberry will always be, to me, the best smart phone. I miss the actual keyboard on cell phones! I used to have the BB Pearl and BB Curve. I loved them! It was so easy to type with them. Now you have to use an onscreen keyboard which you almost always have to look at in order to use. Plus, my BB phones were indestructible. I can't tell you how many times I dropped them. The fact that "smart" phones nowadays start acting up after only a year should be taken into consideration. Heck, even after half a year your "smart" phone can seem strangely sluggish. I remember when you could have a 5 year old phone that went through so much physical abuse but it still worked almost the same as the day you bought it.

What really fascinates me is the keyboard. Not only whether you need it or not to be there as stated by Steve Jobs but also it can be used as a scroll bar. It uses a sensor in the keyboard by just draggin' your finger around it without clicking any key. Amazing.

When you read comments like "best phone I have ever had" you should actually believe them this time. Have my silver for a month now and it is the best phone I have ever had. People often ask about it in public places, the BB hub is such a simple and amazing feature that streamlines all your emails, texts, or any other forms of communication you want to add. Really a fantastic phone. I am a long time Sony Xperia user. Never liked iphone. BB10 is perfect for me. When I went to activate it (T Mobile) I asked if I should be worried about anything with the Silver and the only bad thing the guy told me about the phone is that "it takes a long time to turn on. All blackberries are like this." Get this phone

I still use a Blackberry Passport Silver Edition as my main phone for calls, email and web browsing and a Samsung Note 4 only for web and apps ...got to say the Passport gets the attention wherever I go because it's such a well made device with a premium finish. The Passport it's not about the apps ...it's about the nice feeling you get while using this device for basic tasks.

I bought this phone a month ago and I think this is the best phone i have ever had(and i had galaxy s6 and iphone 6s). Wide and square screen is what other smartphones are lacking, since i bought this phone i stopped using my ipad mini and i put ion for sale coz i dont need it. Battery life blows competition out of water. This is the phone you can use it to do real things, typing is easier and faster than touchscreen, easier to hold in hand than galazy and iphone which allways feels like its gonna slip out and drop. beautiful design and premium quality built. If Galaxies and Iphones are smartphone then BB passport silver is a mini-computer in comparison. All other phones on the market look the same,

Well, I just got this phone 2 days ago. Some early impressions: Pros: It feels very, very well built and solid. Weights like a tank. Screen is bright and sharp. Navigation is pretty much lag-free. The keyboard feels nice to type on for me who has never had a keyboard phone before. My typing game is much more on point here. Pick up to wake is 10x better than the ambient display crap on Nexus phone. It also has LED notification which I deeply miss. Cons: the power button is very shallow and hard to reach. Swipe up to unlock takes more effort than my old Z10 and Z30. The native Facebook app is AWFUL. You get notifications about comments replies but can't see them. Neither can you reply to comments yourself. The mobile site helps with that, but at the expense of Hub notifications. No double tap to wake as far as I know. Also haven't figured out how to delete multiple messages in the Hub. I'm still not quite sure if I should commit to this one or stay with my Nexus 6. I have no problems carrying two phones around but having just one is always nice. I feel like I'm way too deep into Google hell now to ditch Android...and I won't - will keep at least one Android. Just wanna see if the Passport can become my daily driver. P/S if you know a way to get a usable Facebook app on this thing please let me know. If I can solve that the Nexus 6 will pretty much become my handheld gaming device.

ariebellza Where did I say that I got this phone to play games on? I'm not that stupid. All my games are on my Nexus so I had that covered. I also don't use any other social media app other than Facebook, so for me (and surely for most others too) having a functional Facebook app is crucial. On the Passport, it is completely broken and unusable. Not even being able to see comments and reply to them is unacceptable. And, you know, plenty of businessmen use Facebook and Twitter and such too.
