BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983: The $2000 BlackBerry!

This is my unboxing and first impressions video of the BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983, the $2,000 BlackBerry smartphone. The BlackBerry Porsche model is very special and this is one is based on the BlackBerry Q10, which is a BlackBerry 10 device. This the the P'9893 Carbon Model, which has a carbon-fiber back on it.

I love BlackBerry. I used to work on tech support and we were able to see even older BBs... it was soooooo useable. Really nice and lovely touch. Sometimes when I look back now. I cannot even believe the workmanship... The fact that they were able to roll out as many and produced such volumes is just... Amazing.

Good to see someone still uploading blackberry videos in 2020. I currently own a iPhone XR but I use my passport for texting and I can never get over the physical keyboard and still have my z10 and BB play book which I use occasionally and it was way ahead of its time. It had touch gestures in 2011..I’m currently an apple fan due to convenience of the ecosystem but blackberry will always be very close to my heart, we have continuity feature in apple but blackberry had blend long time back. I hope they come up with a device with their own os.

Removable battery is something I wish was still around. Would still be using my BB Classic if it wasn't for the battery, which only lasted two years.

Tbh that's one of the reasons that when I put a K1 next to a K2, the KEYᵒⁿᵉ looks more fancy: that shiny polished keyboard and overall design. The top of your Porsche reminds me of the K2's streamlined look, and that's a nice touch. I don't suppose you could get a version of Android to work on it huh? Tho if I understand correctly, bbOS10 can still be functional right, for essential tasks

Wow, damn a $2,000 Blackberry with a 3.5 inch screen and physical keyboard in 2014... No wonder they went under, Blackberry should have shifted their focus towards a more competitive design and features that were found in the iPhone and Galaxy models. Even for the base models, Blackberry was unwilling to compromise while the industry was moving away from keyboards and small screens...

I got two of them the black and the silver. It would be awesome to hear your thoughts on them!! Looks like you have the middle east version. Were you able to get signal on your carrier? That version has different LTE bands than the Americas version.
