This band is true to the southern rock mold of the 70s and 80s but molds all that into contemporary craftsmanship. At 51 years-old I never thought I'd hear anything like this again.

Great song. Im more of a rock fan than country, but this is a band that walks that Southern Rock line beautifully. I can hear so many of my favorite bands in Blackberry Smoke's music. From Pink Floyd, to Skynyrd, The Black Crowes and so many more. For a guy that isn't a country fan, even their twangy tunes have given me a newfound respect for the genre. Glad I found these guys!

How did I miss this clip? 10 years ago and it just popped up in Oct. 2023... thank you for this very emotional rendering of The Whippoorwill. If you didn't know, Charlie has said this is a song for/about his grandmother who had passed. You can feel, hear, see the emotion in Charlie's performance. I can almost see and hear his tears. I love this song....what a band...i play the shit out of this record and play my guitar and sing along. Songs are magic when the melody and weight of the lyrics come together. It is rare to have everything converge into something so epic. This tune is fricken perfection. Thanks Charlie and the band! Brandon was so nice at the Mtn Winerey(Paul Masson) in Saratoga. Our selfie sucked but who cares...we were enjoying Gov't Mule! Rock on boyz!
