Y’all need to go to this studio’s academy! I’m only two months in, and I feel like I could run a session in their studios! They have amazing teachers, and they bring outside engineers and producers to give you tips and tricks. You will definitely not regret going!

I recorded some of my new album SHADOWLAND here with the fantastic Ernesto Oliviera on the desk and Kira Small singing with me. The staff were all brilliant and supportive and you could tell everybody there loved what they are doing. From Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift to the guy that just walks in off the street you are certain they will do their best for you. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for. Thanks to John and the team. This is the nearest that the US has to Abbey Road. Regards from Lockdown England.

@ThatRainbowDude9 жыл бұрын
Probably the most impressive studio I've seen! Everything's so practical, no designer this or decor that, or 'look how this drum room doubles as a jacuzzi', it's just all practical. I can imagine with so much at your fingertips there, the creativity must just leak out of everyone inside! And whether they'll ever make the money back that they put in or not is insignificant, because the results from this studio are culturally priceless. Tada is gan iarracht, agus buíochas le dia that someone has the money to make that happen.

I agree with this statement. Everyone loves the workflow and routing flexibility of these newer SSL's but the pre's and EQ's just do, not, compare to anything Rupert Neve designs.

I've actually been here. Studio C is a trip, the wood is freaky in real life. I listened to a beck record in there, too, and it was like beck was standing there in person singing. I can't believe they didn't show the game room! it's above the recording room with the red lamps. It's like a man cave! Happy recording

haha, that was great. - that's definitely not "the only" stereo 251 that Telefunken ever made, though. It might be the "prototype", but there is at least one more of them. There is one in Jackson Browne's studio.

Telefunken now makes replicas of them but John’s is the only original one

JoeyShirkMusic - while it's nice that you believe him, it's simply not true. There were at least 25 of the microphones made in the early 1960's during prototyping and there were a small number made in official runs before they were discontinued and replaced with the AKG C24 stereo. The last one I saw was around 2003 and I believe Studio No. 9 in Toronto purchased it. There is definitely one in Jackson's studio.
