This is amazing! All the boards look great and you made them sound more than a hundred bucks!

Thanks for watching! We really had a great time making the boards and agree they definitely sounded better than expected

100USD is quite a lot if you live in Indonesia. Many people build copy pedals here, and they're very very cheap and don't sound bad at all. Let's just say they cost a quarter of a Beringer pedal.

Loved this, reminded me of the budget car challenges from old Top Gear. This could be a series for sure. Something like getting 2 contrasting guitarists tone for less than 100 bucks, including the board

Yessir. I took a old cubboard door covered in duct tape and velcro but my pedals range from 20$ -$300. But i must say choosing just 3-4 really gives you focus. But i do love my 12 pedals crammed on my board

I have the caline orange burst and the joyo analog delay from these and they are really good pedals. A few really good guitar players that I know use them live and have a great sound!

Those are all really good boards. My challenge is actually constructing the board. I've already blown past the $100 mark years ago.

I hear that. It was definitely a challenge keeping things under $100. As a builder at heart, I kept wanting to upgrade the board design beyond what my budget would allow.

I was able to build a pretty good one for about two hundred and seventy bucks - seven pedals, all of them Kmise, Azor, or Donner, using the Kmise pedalboard as a base, which includes the built in power supply. Im amazed how much fun it is. Kmise compressor - Azor blue delay - Kmise vintage overdrive - Kmise chorus - Donner autowah - Donner yellowfall delay - Azor spring reverb (as featured in this video) Five stars, would recommend

This really goes to show how much BS is talked about how great £boutique" pedals are. I have used cheap pedals for a very long time. Not once has any person from any audience commented that I should use more expensive pedals to get a better tone
@joeblough2612 жыл бұрын
LOL! So true...just in general of gear snobs/tone snobs, and the crazy audiophiles who insist on thousands of bucks worth of equipment. Yes, having some nice gear is good, but my band played for years with cheap amps, cheap cabinets, and basic effects and somehow people loved us and the venues kept inviting us back. Hell, for 2 years we played w/out a bass player, just two guitars and a drummer and a singer - NOBODY even contemplated we didn't have a bass player. Not saying I didn't prefer having one, I'm just saying that if what you play sounds good, nobody cares.
@EnterJustice2 жыл бұрын
@@joeblough261 There's a joke about bass players in there, somewhere, somehow...
@lucadipaolo19972 жыл бұрын
If it sounds good, it is good. Boutique pedals are so ridiculously expensive where I live, that they're basically not an option for 99% of musicians. Well, except for one guy that makes some pedals out of sardine tins, they're pretty cool and very affordable.
@luqmxaxn2 жыл бұрын
Many pedals which u/ $100 are worth tone maker if we know what every pedal sounds.
@mtk1808 Жыл бұрын
I agree, although expensive pedals are not just fancy things, they have more tone variety and depth, and the quality is better. But they are just more catered to pedal snobs.

An altoids box on a pedalboard is usually just a small utility box with spare picks, batteries and condoms. Altoids are just easy to find small boxes
