Buddy, if you really want to learn about the actual history of Native Americans, you wouldn't feel any better about how they operated versus how colonial Europeans operated. No matter where you go in the world, everyone was, to some degree, acting in very vile ways towards others arounds them. There are a few good books that document some of the observed behaviors of Native Americans towards colonials and also towards each other, and some of their behavior is just as brutal and disturbing as what they had to suffer themselves from outsiders. Regardless of the history though, this music from Blackbraid is absolutely fantastic.

What stroke me is that even though this is a "themed" BM act, they abstain from the tendency to overdue the "theme" part to such an extent that you get a gimmicky mix of some folklore played with electric guitars plus a few blastbeats and BM riffing as decoration. This is Pure Metal, where the influences of their lyrical theme and concept are well woven into the tapestry and results in a pretty solid sound far away of other half-baked bands.

The song starts with a strong Primordial beat and then changes into a typical Agalloch structure. In the last third, the whole thing gets an interesting Mlga touch, to remind me of Primordial again instrumentally at the very end. All bands that I like, so it's no wonder that I like this song right away!
