I'd like to say a very very big thank you to you all for the wonderful response to Sunday's Whitby walk! I had a lot of fun making the video, and I'm glad you enjoyed watching it too :) Here in Blackburn, here's a bit of bonus info on the big skyscraper you can see from around 14:07: That's Blackburn New Town Hall, which rises 198ft/60m into the air beside the original Town Hall. The two buildings are linked under the footbridge we walk under, but the New Town Hall is now the main home of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council!

Thank you so very much for this fantastic video. I was born in Blackburn in the 1960's and grew up there during the town's period of decline in the 70's and 80's. I've hardly been back in the last 35 years but this video inspired me to return as a tourist! I'm so heartened to see that my home town is looking so fantastic. I also learnt a great deal about the history of the town in this film which I was hitherto unaware of. Thanks again and Viva Blackburn!

Wonderful, a lovely place with lots of character, I am a little disappointed though, you didn't show the holes, there are supposed to be 4000 of them, or did they move them? I would do a walking video of my city but I can describe it just as easy. Apartment building, apartment building, McDonalds, gas station, Hair Cuttery, Dunkin Donuts, Popeye's Chicken, two blocks of houses, Walmart, Target, Starbucks, Taco Bell, gas station, Walgreens, Hong Kong Buffet, Burger King, Batteries Plus, Subway (sandwiches), Pizza Hut, McDonalds, KFC, gas station, Panda Express, CVS Pharmacy, Costco, Home Depot, Domino's Pizza, Office Depot, Best Buys, McDonald's, Starbucks, repeat over and over, and lots of parking lots (car parks to you). Oh, I forgot, we do have a historic building, You can do the exact same tour in every city of my country.

You forget to mention the old former Northgate Police Station at 9:50 which was once home to what was then Blackburn Division Police Headquarters, long before the building of East Division Police Headquarters at Greenbank, on the outskirts of Blackburn. The arches visible at 9:50 were the driveway to the police station and entrance to the enquiry desk in the rear courtyard. It had a large old cell complex with direct passageways to the docks on courts 1 and 2 in the Magistrates Court. Rumours are of several hauntings in the old disused corridors. No doubts lots of ghosts! Your video is superb but doesn’t seem to reflect to true number of takeaways……
