Local energy policy offsets just 20% of their bill? Who gets to keep the rest, the power utility? In Califonia they are changing the laws so that the utility only pays you 25 cents for each dollar of energy that you send to the grid. We pulled permits in April 2023 to get 20 years grandfathered before the new policy takes effect.

I don't want to brag or anything, but I'm pretty sure I could have climbed up to that roof and helped with the solar installation, maybe even free soloed the mother. Those guys didn't seem like such great climbers to my eye, even if they weren't using protection and mostly just had solid footholds. And the pitch seemed pretty chill too. Just saying.
