Awesome ride! Plan on doing similar mods on my sb. My one complaint is that even in the most aggressive settings (Dynamic and with S) The steering feels too "soft" for my tastes. Did lowering stiffen up the wheel feel at all. If not, do you know any mods that would help with this? I haven't found any coilovers for the 18' yet.

Thanks Lucas. The lowering did not affect the steering. It did make the suspension a bit stiff, but nothing too crazy. KW makes coilovers for the A5/S5 Sportback. They are very expensive though.

Awesome looking car, I also have an Audi S5 sb with 034 Lowering suspension. I was considering getting some new rims for it but wasn't sure if I should go for the 19 inch or the 20s since the car is so low. Is there any problem with these 20 inch wheels? also I highly recommend fitting the Karbel body kit to it. I have it on my car includes a Front lip as well as the rear diffuser. It's super sick looking and made from all real carbon fibers.

Yes I have the Bang and Olusfen system. The bass in it stock sucks bad, so I upgraded it with the JL subwoofer custom installed into the cargo area.

I saw that you have a blackvue dash cam. I have the 750s and was wondering if you have trouble powering yours. I use the power magic pro set to cutoff at 12v and struggle to ever get the camera to stay on when the car is off for a period of time. I also noticed that the car doesn't auto stop/start anymore... (I have a B9 S4 btw) LMK!

August Chuprajak Hello August. I got it off of eBay from a Chinese retailer. It was sold as a "direct fit part" but it took many modifications to get it to fit. I suggest holding out for another production run of a grille that will fit directly. There should be more options coming soon. The factory grille from the 2018 RS5 WILL NOT fit, or it would have been a good option.

Yeah I wish it would have too. It would have made the process a lot easier. A shop did not do the install for me. I did it. I cut small holes into the front impact (crash) bar so that the front parking sensor did not bottom out on it anymore. The bottoming out of the sensors on the bar prior to that prevented the bumper from being put back on prior to that modification. I then had the bar powdercoated a semi gloss black so that the paint hold up to normal front debris on the highway. Last of all, I made some modifications the camera bracket, then used small strong zip ties to hold the camera onto the back of the grille at the right angle. One cannot see the modifications at all when looking at the car unless you get right in front of the grille with your eyes.

Joe Huang That's a decent option as that is a guaranteed OEM fitment. It is very expensive for what it is though. You're better off waiting until summer this year when the black optics package is released in the USA. The price of the OEM black grille will drop 40% or more at that time.

beautiful car, definitely one i'm considering getting at the end of this year. i'm glad i stumbled across this video because i had no idea the black optics package was coming to the US! i always wondered why it hadnt, theres no reason for it. i was considering buying all the blacked out pieces from tag or just getting them wrapped/painted. i like the trunk mat you have as well, as simple a thing as it is, audi only has i believe a4/a5 logo trunk mats for this car which feels wrong to do, so this was a nice alternative i did not know of. one last thing i stumbled across looking at different mods one can do for this car, are these transparent rear taillights that look simply amazing and i think would look great on any color. i think theyre only around 700 ish US dollars for them, which imo is a bargain for a pair of lights

A Tom Thank you Tom! Unfortunately, the black optics package is not available in the USA. Those lower 3 front black grilles are from Europe! If you wait until this summer though, I'm pretty sure black optics will be available for 2019. It's also interesting that you noticed the OEM cargo area all weather mats only come with A4/A5 logos. I originally had the A5 labeled mat back there, but switched to the WeatherTech mat.

yea ive watched almost every video on youtube regarding this car to make sure its the right purchase for me lol, this includes any upgrades/mods i can do to it as well. i gotta ask regarding your wheels, are you aware what the offset value is for them? ive been debating 20 in vs 19 in wheels, and maybe ive delved too far into the research for my own good, ive just made myself worry that with the 20in wheels im interested in and with bigger tires that it may cause issues for the vehicle

A Tom You're smart for doing all that research. You'll be adequately prepared. When it comes to offset, I run 20x10 with a +33 offset all around. Clears perfectly and there's no rubbing with my Continental 275/30/20 all season tires. I am even lowered an inch and still don't have issues. Be careful with your wheel selection though because on the forum I'm on, many people have had issues with 20s of various widths and offsets bottoming out on their front brake calipers before it touches the rotor like it should. Avoid those "super concave" wheels too. You will almost be assured to have the above issue with those.

thats awesome, thanks for in depth details it helps paint a better picture. i have a hard time discerning which wheels fall into the super concave category unless its stated in the description lol. going off of pictures online doesnt always give the best perspective of how deep a wheel is, so the only other option is to cross reference the wheels specs vs what the car can accommodate, but even then as youve mentioned there are other factors im not sure how to get around other than having the actual wheel in person

A Tom Yes trying the wheel in in person is the best bet. It may be hard to find a retailer that has the exact brand, model, fitment, and finish wheel you want in stock though. A 20x10 wheel with a +35 offset in one wheel may not clear, while a wheel with the exact same specs (but different brand or model) will. You also want to ensure the fitment does not stick out past the fender too.
