Thank you so much for this video! I got the Cretacolor black chalk lead from your recommendation, and it's fantastic! So much better than other black pastel pencils.

Have you tried the Creacolor Nero soft black? It’s a oil based black.

Has Jackson's stopped selling those? Cannot find them via your link only the pencils. Is there a better link please?

Tha is for this video, with normal pastel pencils I have been really struggling to get the deep blacks I need. I have ordered these, and look forward to the results, do they go over other colours well

Ok I want that holder. Why: bc I am a geek with getting that stuff all over my fingers. Brilliant. I did not thought of that.

I had found the Cretacolor pencil already, but like u said it is quite fragile and so therefore costly. I save it for the bits around the eyes. Then at the Art shop I saw the cretacolour chalk leads, tried them, they are indeed fantastic as u state, as u don't put them in a sharpener, u don't waste it either, so they actually cost lots less... I just wish they'd sell all pastel pencils like this, woodless!! Go on Jason u have the contacts, get Jacksons or some other Comany to do it... you can take the credit, I'll take the money! 😂😂😂

Are these Creat a Color chalks still considered pastel or are they a chalk? I am confused with the terminology that is used here. Thank you Jason ; )

I tried successfully grinded sauce or sticks, which are really cheap and easily available

Try a DUX adjustable sharpener. It's super sharp, comes with three extra blades, has an adjustable screw on the end and comes in a little case. I got mine on Cult Pens. It really is excellent for sharpening pastel pencils.
@JC-il4or3 жыл бұрын
Hi, do you recall the exact listing name for your sharpener? Have searched cult pen site and don't see "adjustable'. Is it the one with the removable barrier? I have the automatic long point but can always use a better one. Thanks 😊

@@JC-il4or sorry I put KUM originally when I should have put DUX adjustable pencil sharpener (mind freeze) ... sorry about that. Cult Pens have the DUX in stock ... I just checked ❤️👍

@@pamsanby8506 thank you for clearing that up 😂 I was sure it was my inability to correctly input it and tried every English combination, association and description I could think of. 😆

So in my country koh i noor pastel pencils cost really cheap, 3.5 times less then pitt pastel pencils, do you think I should get koh i noor or is pitt still a better choice? :/
@pamsanby85063 жыл бұрын
I have both and the Pitt’s are harder ... great for detail and the koh I noor are much softer ... great for blocking in.
