There are way more states than those five that are bad for Blacks. The Midwest is really notorious for racism more so than the southern states which was believed for years! I’ve been in many of the Southern States and the white people there were very polite and nice. I cannot say the same for the Midwestern states. I’m in Michigan now and I have never experienced racism head on like be called out of my name or challenged or any of that. But I have heard stories from friends of mine who has. Certain parts of Michigan is like that, especially going close to the northern part. They may not be as brazen as some of the post I see on Social Media, but; you can feel the tension in certain areas here in Michigan and the rudeness is real!

I am a white girl from Oregon and have kind of noticed a 'reverse Great Migration' trend from the Northeast and Midwest back to the Southeast, between big cities not holding the appeal they once had, and the taxes and weather. I have family in both Illinois and Ohio and the Ohio ones at least have acknowledged there is some racism still going on in the smaller white towns. Here in western Oregon, it is not so much racism as it is just being one of the most non-black regions in the country (we do have a huge Hispanic segment though, and there are as many Asians as blacks). Part of that lies in history, of Oregon banning black citizenship until the 1920s. That said, before the pandemic I had eaten at a couple black-owned soul food places in Portland a few times in 2019/20 and thoroughly enjoyed myself and their company. One of those places' owner passed away this week, he was the uncle of the one and only... Snoop Doggy Dogg. To my black fellow humans making a relocation for the reasons stated in this video, I wish you the best; may we be good and beautiful and full of love and thoughts and songs of love. My question why you move here in the first place, same plane you came on and take you back ! I worked for National Guard in Concord it was the most miserable experience I’ve ever had.Its a beautiful state for nature. But I definitely wouldn’t recommend.Folks don’t want to rent to me.A lot of the folks there viewed blacks as being refugees. The only blacks I would see were from South Sudan you could count on one hand how many blacks you’d see in weeks.

My husband had training in Fayetteville. I went down to visit him and experienced my 1st segregated business. Black hair done in the back, white hair in the front. No windows and drop ceilings in the back. When I asked the owner (an Asian woman) why she separated everyone on the basis of race, she said it was " because her white customers didn’t like the smell of black haircare products". Not only are you not getting my money, I'm never coming back to this state. Ehy the whole state, you ask? Because the black people took that crap like that's how it's supposed to be. If this racism is so ingrained and entrenched into fabric of your community that you dont even fight back or quit and open your own salon, that's not the place for me or my family. Also, was legit scared for my husband that entire week. What a way to live! @Black Excellence

@@BlackExcellenceMedia I’m from NC and many areas are very unfair to blacks. Many laws are made to keep us behind. The blacks who thrive here are mostly from out of state and can afford the skyrocketing rent and housing costs. Winston-Salem alone should be listed as one of the worst cities in NC and for blacks period

We lived in Bellevue 74-76 and Omaha 84-90 and thought it was in the top two best places we lived. I assume NE should have made the list because the same reasons the briefer stated. We have been spoiled by working for USAF and DoD for a combined 55 years. We always had a support base were we moved to and still have some support. I am from rural VA, 70 miles southwest of Richmond. My wife is from LA Grange, GA, 65 miles south of Atlanta. Besides living in NE, we lived in OH, DE, and GA (23 years). I spent 4.6 years in NC. Overseas, we lived in Greece, Belgium, and Germany (2). I lived in Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, and Ukraine. I think being a part of the military, working for DoD, and the Veterans Administration (VA) must be a secret for most blacks. Guess where the top two places where our tax dollars are allocated, DoD and the VA.

It's not a racist country and it is not getting worse. You are being told that, but facts and figures say otherwise. Don't forget that there are many successful blacks in all levels of business and politics. Of course there are a percentage of people who are racist, but doubt it is any different than the percentage of blacks that are racist. This video does not do a deep dive into facts. They used states that are big agricultural producers. If you are not part of a legacy farm conglomerate, your options are small for a great paying job unless you have a marketable degree. That is for anyone. Plus, SD and Iowa have small demographic of blacks, and doubt if many farm. This video does not tell the entire story.

my question is, how many people actually own their homes free and clear, no mortgage or loan payment, if you look at this information, I think you'll find a dirty little secret across all racial groups, especially in todays climate. As for the most racially intense states, maybe your on to something, up north is many more white populationsl" so the higher racial incidents would be on par, that's why when in the north today, you need to live near Detroit or Cleveland, or other black centers of population
