Born and raised in Baltimore. Work in DC. Walk to Penn Station and take the MARC train in whenever I have to go into the office, which isn't often. I love it here. Great restaurants, concerts, shows, parks, street festivals, bike parties, food halls, movie theaters, Hopkins, Morgan, etc.. etc.. Lots of places to do the "public square" thing. Tons of opportuity here if you take advantage of it. Baltimore City students can win free scholarships to Hopkins if they get the grades. Most of the people that talk trash have either never been here or have, and went to the wrong places and dealt with the wrong people. NGL if you're poor it can be rough. I remember being young and catching the bus to someplace I had never caught the bus before and going through some neighborhoods and thinking whoah. WTH? That's one of the crazy things here is the wealth disparity, and sometimes that's only separated by one block. Overall, he Baltimore metro has a strong black middle class. That's why Ravens fans travel so well. We have the money to do it.

I'm good with the master bedroom that makes me the master if there was one. There no slave bedroom. I once saw a woman buy a home and the name of the subdivision was called plantation. She wanted to know if they could change the name.

@chrisper7527 5 күн бұрын
What is he talking about? It still means head, lead, top, cap(ital), boss, primary, mast (highest), which relates to the slave master being at the top of the food chain. The master (biggest, main, more prominent, prestigious, top, boss, manager, lead(er) bedroom was reserved for the MASTER. Don’t be simple and naive.🤔🤔🤔🤔

He is talking about the movement to stop using the term "master bedroom." It's a movement that goes back over 10 years and it has obviously caught on as a lot of agencies have changed the term to "primary bedroom." You can disagree with it as he says in the video.

I agree with you. I believe that black women or any woman for thst reason should do what make them happy. Black women's hair does not stand up to being wet if we are caught in the rain, swimming pool, etc. Simply, black women's hair requires more work to attain the look we need. Wigs are convenient, and they save time from sitting in the hairsaloon for hours or a day just to get our hair done. Bottom line, wigs save us time and give us flexibility, and it can be fun to change our hair color or length whenever we please.

I grew up in Baltimore City but currently reside in Baltimore County. I suspect the data you have includes Baltimore County where a lot of wealthy Black people reside and own businesses and do business. A couple of Congressional districts stretch from Baltimore City into Baltimore County and that might be the reason for the numbers you have. Baltimore is a poor city with pockets of wealth. Baltimore County is a wealthy suburb just outside of Baltimore City with pockets of poverty..

@@BlackExcellenceMedia Well then that is deceptive...Baltimore County has many wealthy and influential Black folks. Many of whom grew up in the city but moved to the County for the schools and because of economic opportunities and less crime. Just using stats from the city only you will find the median income becomes much lower and that city schools are horrible. This is an unfortunate situation but the truth is the really successful Black folks abandoned Baltimore City decades ago.
