Planning on doing first run tonight tanking on a ret pali tree and using a 2 hander all the way anything i should be concerned about or should I be fine as long as I'm using all the appropriate pots and bubble for debuffing stuff. Should I use a onr hander and shield for anything or is 2 hander fine for all the bosses? also suggested runes? is hand of reckoning not worth it over CS?

I'd use a shield for the 5th boss, Lorgus Jett, but everything else you should be fine with a 2h. Divine Storm, Hand of Reckoning, and Avenger's Shield for trash and can swap to Exorcist for bosses. Potentially Crusader Strike over Hand of Reckoning for bosses if you're confident you won't need the taunt

I judge Crusader and then I'm just spamming Divine Storm, Crusader Strike, and Judgement of Command. Seal of Command is definitely worth

Most are going Arms from what I've seen. The meta right now is just to do as much damage as you can, since the damage taken in BFD is low

that is most likely cause they are in full ret spec and dont wanna respecc to tank. You can spec whatever you want cuz talents barely matter at this low level

I noticed you don’t use consecration as a Pally tank, I understand the mana cost is high but AS+DS+consecration is huge AOE with reckoning

I haven't gotten a chance to play one yet. but pretty much their entire value is based on Wild Strikes. They have the lowest single target damage and bad AOE but the Wild Strikes buff makes it worth it if nobody else is bringing it. They do have to drop their big survivability rune for it, but survivability doesn't really matter right now. That said, it's better if they're just cat DPSing and someone else is tanking.

Quick question, I was just working on some weapon swap macros to use butchers cleaver for SoR, then swap cruel barb for divine storm, but it appears it resets the gcd when you weapon swap in combat. With this in mind, do you think it’s better to roll with the slow weapon for divine storm, of the fast weapon for SoR?

Yah weapon swaps will put you on GCD and reset your swing timer. You can piggyback the GCD onto another one though, for example you use Divine Storm and weapon swap immediately after using it. You effectively have no extra GCD because the weapon swap restarted a fresh GCD. For the swaps you mentioned I would just run the Cruel Barb the whole time. Keep in mind baseline SOR does the same dps with fast and slow. You need some spellpower (can be Judgement of the Crusader) for SOR to be better with a fast weapon and even then we're talking really tiny amounts of damage at this level. Doing the swap you'd gain around 15 damage over 10 seconds if Judgement of the Crusader was up and you timed your weapon swap perfectly so that you didn't lose swing time and the GCD didn't prevent you from casting anything and you swapped early enough to not delay a Divine Storm use, but if it isn't done perfectly everytime, you'll lose damage. It'll be easier and realistically better to just stick with the Cruel Barb the whole time

I'm really liking it so far. The snap multi target threat is fantastic as expected. Right now I use a 2h 95% of the time since not much in the game really does damage to us yet. I may try ret tanking next go, it looks like with a ret spec we can get close to war tank damage, which is the highest dps tank atm. Also it's always amazing to just be able to bubble off important boss debuffs

It's easiest if you pool rage at the end of a pull and get pulls in quickly before your rage decays. Between pulls look for critters to hit to keep rage up and use bloodrage and rage pots as needed. Bloodrage can buy you a lot of time on rage decay

@@SubtleFW cuz sometime the group got to rebuff drain and not going asap. And the rage r all gone. And can’t charge in due to got in combat. Once it gets to 80 rage. It starts pumping but then before 80 feel like…urgggg. Would duel-wielding gain rage faster and swap weapon in between?

regarding prot build: with shield a slow 1-hander with seal of martyr is more holy damage per second if u take judgement into account, scales on ap and costs a fraction of mana compared to seal of righteousness, with a 2 hander this effect is even bigger the mana saving is especially important if u run consecration seal of rightouesness is only usefull on a fast weapon with a ton of spell power or with seal of wisdom which is both unaviable rn

2h arms warrior sitting on 60-100 rage with raging blow, the 20% dmg thing, and the heroic strike cloned instant. Charge - > rage - >throw an early taunt and a few sunders and you'll be #1 dps and able to hold the boss. Only time to swap to a shield is on Kelris if you need the extra kick. If heals aren't the greatest then swap a shield on aku.

In season of discovery theyre doing lower level caps and increasing them every couple months. The caps are 25, 40, 50, and 60 with raids at each cap. Current cap is 25
