Hey John, I don’t have a gen 2 fathom anymore, but I can walk you through the install. The top end comes apart very similarly, when you get down into the mechanism instead of using the spring clip to hold the plastic plate in place there are (2) m2x.4mm screws with Phillips drive pan heads. Remove those screws and the plate and handle will come off. Those screws go directly through the plastic plate and into the handle.

Hi there, the second gen handle is the same length, it is made of a different alloy and does not have cut outs, rather it has a logo in that location. You can email me or contact me on Instagram.
