Blackhawk Radius arms Installing into the GQ Patrol

G'day everyone
Through i would share fitting the new upgraded Blackhawk low clearence Radius arms to my GQ Patrol.

Wow, the timing on this couldn't be more spot on. Received yesterday a box of bits to replace my radius arm bushes, mushroom bushes and a set of drop boxes to install. Weirdly enough too, I'm running a 2" lift, 1" body lift, offset caster bushes and I still don't have enough caster either! So I've decided 3"-5" drop boxes will sort that out with standard Nissan radius arm bushes. Good stuff mate, loving the uploads!

fantastic video. i remember the first time I done radius arms. I spent 2 days swearing wondering why I couldn't line the arm bolts up on the diff, till my mate told me to jack the pinion and pull the bolt from the other radius arm lol.

About 20mm of the bolt is hanging out at standard so ok for length and the kit would be handy with some new ones And cheers mate family is doing well take it easy

Great video Byron.. you make it look so easy, I just took my Radius Arms out of my GQ Patrol and it was a mongrel job did it on my driveway but biggest hold up for me was the damn nuts at the end of the arms they were rock solid, plus the tip on putting jack under pinion to get the bottom bolts out helped heaps...mine is standard (no lift) but what is the advantage of putting these BlackHawk Radius arms in ? if anyone could explain, be good....cheers

Good on ya mate The black hawk arms give you the castor you need and a bigger bush surface area eg like a standed bush for lifts 3 inch and above compared to the offset bushes that you can put in

I got the same kit in my gu one of my radius arm bot was not comeing off so i had to cut it and i don't run front sway bar you need at lists 3 to 4inch lift

Good video mate thanks for posting. Do the radius arms have a right and left side designation from the factory? Or did you just mark yours "RHS" side when you pulled it out?

Curious to know how it drives on road with a 2" lift, I have 2"and the same offset bushes drives ok but deciding whether its worth the money for those or similar hybrid arms.

Not sure yet mate just got it back together will be doing some test runs and getting another wheel alignment next week but ill probably do a gq patrol update video later But at the moment i should of done it from the start (9 years ago)ill probably been through 3 sets of bushes from standard to off sets and a set or 2 of those rear bushes And i could of got the arm cheaper back then arrr hahaha
