Good kid. Was rushed to the NHL for some unknown reason. Hopefully his growth isn’t stunted like Kirby Dach’s was playing in Chicago. Whoever asked the question about him being asked if he’s going to the World Championships???🤦🏻‍♂️

He wasn't rushed. There was nothing left for him to learn in the WHL, and he wasn't eligible to play in Rockford. It would have been a waste of a year to send him back to Seattle, which didn't even make the playoffs this year. They made the right decision keeping him in Chicago, which was their only other option.

​@Yo_Adrienne I agree he is WAY TOO GOOD to be playing in the WHL with the thunderbirds. Makes no sense for him to be playing in a league where he will just over dominate and learn nothing, better for him learn the nhl now go through the ups downs will help him grow and learn what to improve on. He's definitely not going to learn that in juniors

Connor Bedard is way too good to be playing in the WHL. Korchinski was not. He played bottom pairing minutes on the Canadian World Junior team. Players that are dominating junior hockey don’t play bottom pairing minutes on their World Junior teams. Olen Zellweger was the best defenseman in junior hockey the same season Korchinski played his last season of junior hockey. Zellweger was allowed to play his final season of junior eligibility. He wasn’t “to good” to play junior hockey. He played half of his first season of professional hockey in the AHL. Again this is proper development. Zellweger is the 26th rated prospect on the Hockey News top prospect list. Korchinski is the 51st. Zellweger was clearly the better player when they were both in junior hockey. Zellweger wasn’t rushed to the NHL. Korchinski was. Why not send him back to juniors to see if he could be the best defenseman in junior hockey which he never was. Why not see if he could play top pairing minutes on the Canadian World Junior team which he never did. Korchinski was definitely not to good for junior hockey.
