Don’t go with this weak simple hi/low. It does work. It probably has an overall edge of 1/2%. Learn one of the best counts out there. Buy Ken Uston’s book, “Million Dollar Blackjack.” Get an overall edge of 1 1/2%. That’s about 3x stronger than hi/low. I’m not knocking this system. It does work. But if you can, why not get all the edge can? It’s easier to take the path of least resistance than to apply yourself more. I’ve sat at the blackjack tables playing hi low wanting more of an edge. And I bet Ben and Colin have as well. Don’t settle for less. It does take more time to learn multi-parameter count (side-count of aces, since aces are paramount in betting strategy). But you’re likely going to make 3x more.

Back in high school my ap stats teacher taught us how to properly gamble and play casino. He said that greed is what will make you lose because casinos win when people's emotion take over. Agreed! It's very good for a beginner. Basic Strategy, good money management and, possibly, card counting. If you play that way, religiously, you will win. I haven't ever won millions, but I almost always leave with more than I brought. I have won as many as 50 units in one sitting. $5 X 50 = $250. If I'd been betting $100 units ... that's right $5000.

I live a few blocks from the Stratosphere in Las Vegas and thankfully a few months ago they changed their 6 to 5 blackjack to 3 to 2 but this guy is right, never ever play 6 to 5 blackjack. I remember back in 2006, the Golden Nugget was the first property I saw that started the 6 to 5 blackjack and then it spread like wildfire, If the casinos think they can get one over on the player they will not hesitate to do it so be patient, know basic strategy and leave when your ahead, don't let the bastards take your money.

I downloaded the basic strategy list that you guys provided in the description and I'm memorising it. But i saw other lists where, if you get a soft 18 (A, 7) with a 2 at the dealer's upcard, it says to "Stand" there, but here in this list it's said to "Double if allowed" otherwise "Stand". Which one do I follow?

It depends on the table rules. Double down if the dealer hits on soft 17.

They are based on complicated mathematical calculations or simulations done by computers and may not be practical for humans to figure out mentally.

Blackjack 101....If dealer shows 6 or below,NEVER TAKE A CARD Unless you have total of like 3-9.And if you have an 11 Double Down.So If your card total is 13 and dealer is showing a 4,5 or 6 STAND.Nothing worse than seeing a dealer with a 6 And People with totals of 14 or 15 Hitting and getting 10s or Face Cards.

My biggest pet peeve is people that think other players at the table can hurt their odds. This is a misconception. Regardless of a players poor decision to stay or hit at another position at the table, the odds that the next card the dealer takes is still going to equal to be a "10".

Comment makes no sense. There is a 31% chance that the dealer's next card is a 10. 16 face cards divided by 52. So you are saying that "poor" play at 3rd base won't impact your results at first base? Independent actions?

If you see your opponent’s card is 8 and yours is 5 and 3 or something you always wanna hit, if you get an ace but your other number is let’s say a 3 or a 4 you also want to hit too as ace can be one and eleven. Observing your opponent’s upside card as well as calculating your own will really help you win.

Fellas never go into gambling on a casual level EXPECTING to make money. Even with a 20 you still have the risk of the dealer just getting a blackjack. You will win some and lose some unless you're playing on a professional level and counting cards

I've been dealing 4 years at the same casino and I haven't seem a single person kicked out for counting cards. We have 6 deck auto shufflers so good luck haha. Most casinos use those now too.
