Clearly not legal, but if he wants you to play their game rather than calling police or gaming commission to get your chips back, fine. Accept his little offer of $5 BJ, get your chips back (how else are you gonna play?), do about 10-15 hands (pick a busy table if possible) and then leave. Winner winner

Hey Collin. I don’t know if you have ever talked about this but are there any bet progressions for a super negative count? I feel like when the count gets really bad I tend to win since I know little numbers are ahead. I was thinking about starting to increase my bet during these times to take advantage if there is any. I hate having to count 4-5 hrs and wait for that good count. Please let me know if anyone has ever figured this out completely.
@Blackjackapprenticeship
@Blackjackapprenticeship 22 сағат бұрын
The only useful thing you can do during a negative count is not play. The more you bet with a disadvantage the more you will lose in the long run. You can't create an advantage by changing your betting.

Simply the math that if you're going to lose more than you win, you will not win in the long run - which makes sense. You don't begin to win more than you lose until +1TC in most games. Thats why bet spreads start increasing at +1 and continue as the count rises to take advantage of larger edges.

I do believe that tipping, being friendly with the other players, and treating the dealers (and floors) with kindness goes a long way for longevity. My two local shops know I'm an advantage player. I tip the dealers that deal at a good pace and give me a deep cut. I try to make the game fun for the other players and stay sociable with the floor. I've had the floor tell me their tolerances (max bets and max daily win amount) that will keep me playing. I've been able to do this for 12+ years. I've seen these same casinos flat-bet other advantage players who don't tip and are unfriendly to players and dealers. When traveling, I'll go by the same rules as above if I'm trying to get comped rooms. The locations that are hit-and-run, I'm still friendly but only tip on a profitable session.

@Blackjackapprenticeship Listen, as a card counter who went broke - if you wanna make a living of it that let's say 50$-100$ per hour you need to be betting between hundreds to thousands when the count is right (according to the software), In order to win annually 50k-100k (depending on the hours). You can also lose that amount which cost you not only money but time not well spent. You portray card counting as something that is one hundrand guarantee over the long run, but the truth is that variance is a bitch and some don't even make it past 100 hours (not to mention 500-1000 hours which is absurdingly high and unrealistic) because they already went broke. Mathematically you have the same statistics to get a good hand as the dealer except when the count us high (which happens rarely), and then the edge you get is too small and Risk of Ruin is almost guaranteed. Counting cards nowdays is a bluff and though some of you made it (mainly because you had a big bank roll and lots of player to reduce variance), It is more likely you are more likely to lose it all if your risk of ruin is 10% or more (which it is for 99% of players). Add the fact that there isn't anymore profitable games (You can't resplit aces and double or hit after resplitting them), and some other rules which are no longer available in the Blackjack scene which makes it a losing game. You might as well throw your money in the toilet. A wise man said -There are only two lies in the world - white lies and statistics :)

There are too many casinos for them all to ban you - you cannot count cards professionally in one place. Travel is definitely required for any serious player, you'll burn down a lot of casinos as an AP. You just keep rolling on to the next one. We're almost never going to use or suggest a cover bet, the edge too small to give any away unless you have some inside information, like that a tip will gain you extra hours playing worth more EV than the tip costs.

When I was full timing it, I always tipped at the end of a good shoe or good session. I think it bought me a lot of longevity at some casinos, deep cuts / deck penetration, and fast and effective dealing. If you have the bankroll to manage it, tip your dealers. They wanna see us win (usually) just as badly as they want to make money themselves. Dealers don't always have good weeks, and at the end of the day, they are by proxy providing us with a service and a means of income. They're human too and AP's need to recognize that.

Unit/spread would only detract from the point of the graphs. You should be finding your own unit/spread per your bankroll and level of risk acceptance. CVCX and BJA offer tools for assessing risk based on unit/spread/bankroll.

What I am more interested in was if these players were betting one hand or two hands in positive counts? If two hands, at what count and how many units? I go back and forth on this because I haven’t figured out yet what’s best for me - one or two hands? I know it’s best to play two hands when not alone, but if alone, I’m unsure what to do. I believe there is more variance with one hand when alone than with two, and I would like to know what these winning players did.
@Blackjackapprenticeship
@Blackjackapprenticeship Күн бұрын
It depends entirely on the game, bankroll, rules, etc. there is no single correct answer. As @soybeanrice mentioned, using CVCX and/or our own betting software will show your EV and ROR based on all the contributing factors of the specific game you're playing. That determines how we will play any given game to squeeze out the maximum value.

There are eye glasses or sunglasses that will make you unrecognizable by ai or facial recognition. Something to do with the refractive properties confusing the system because of the way the lights captured by the camera which doesent allow it to see the outline and details right in front of it. I think it was invented by hong kong types to make something to wear when out in public or protesting since the ccp took over its a survelance state with more cameras than people operated by ai and a social credit system. This allows them to go off the grid and become invisible to the mass survelance in place looking to arrest and kill them for being political dissidents. I think darpa was also working on something similar and they came up with these different weird patterns you can wear on clothes and they will basically make you invisible to ai facial recognition This is going to be a big deal in 10years. All casinos will have way more cameras and completelt automated ai ran facial recognition and game survelance systems that will be able to not only tell you whos were and how much money they have but over time itll be able to acumulate a table on your plays and be able to predict your next moves. Itll be a thing of the past where you can wait out a couple months and go back to a casino after your pictures on the dont let enter list is old for a while and off the human pit bosses minds but a computer can just as easily identify a individual put into the system 2 hours ago as the one who was put in 3 years ago and because its a computer the usual changes in looks a person can achieve through aging, haircuts, or facual hair which can cause a human to recognize you will not work with a ai facial recognition system. Not by a long shot. Like its going to be extremely hard for groups and teams to exist because itll be so essy for them to push you out and unlike the past your never getting back in unless someone manually removes you from the list. Plus even worse than that is the ai will be able to recognize when somones cheating or counting cards through pattern analysis and odd probabilities that itll be able to run in real time by averaginf out the numbers based on all the other table players and hands of the night that occured during the period in question allowing it to have the absolute most accurate data ever. Its scary but maybe this stuff will stay on the fringes and people will utilize it to keep frisking the casinos, we can only hope lol
