love how the young man's path is met with many unforeseen circumstances...i think its a good reflection on life and how you can be lost even when you know the path you are supposed to be on,but everything is always out of his control it seems, always testing us.

I saw it the other way - the young man thinks he is lost, but has always been connected. For example, the two wedding rings connect him to his lost parents and even though one is sold and the other stolen, each one takes him on the next part of his journey and on to his other connections. Either way and both, I'm watching this mesmerising film from Wales.

Wha a beautiful movie and grief and belonging. Loss is such a huge part of the human experience and we deal with it in different ways. The old man, Lineo's father was in pain. He was lording over Lineo because he felt that he was not in control of his life. Unfortunately in life we can't control everything that happens to us. The little boy is honestly a star. He has a lot of empathy and understands loss deeply. He lost his parents yet has zeal and passion for life. He literally saved Atang's life. Atang was initially a very angry man, yet he found himself in the long journey to find Lineo. It's the long dangerous journey that healed him. It gave him perspective. Thank you for sharing this beautiful movie. I wish everyone healing and light. And grace through all our losses in life. ❤kgotso
