The season could be as short 2 days in area 11, unfortunately, which is why videos helping people get up to speed like this are needed and fair play, because people can't get out and grind to figure it out any more. Glad to see you out bro! keep them coming!

💯 Also there are usually plenty of fish to go around up there. Have you gone out for blackmouth in 11 this year? Based on the creel reports not much catching going on in 11 so far. I think I might try out there this week if I don't hit the coast.

@PeelingLine sorry, didn't get notified when you replied, no didn't go yet, I'm bing editing videos from 2021 to current, At about 23, river, boat sound, columbia, everywhere.. after I hit so many, a new welcome video and then they can automatically post on a scheduled few per week. Keep watch hours going. But after that, in a week or so, ready to make more videos..will hit the derbies there, usually 2.. Did you go?

Welcome back! Thanks. It depends where you are coming from. Kingston and brownsville are a quick boat ride to Jeff Head. I am unsure of the other side of the sound where to launch from.

How was your experience with the boat club? Ours was problems problems problems. Wasn't uncommon to get a boat with issues and nearly all their downrigger rentals were defective

It wasn't bad. I had one defective downrigger at the Port Orchard location but they fixed it that night and didn't charge me for the rental. The only issues I had was one time in Tacoma they didn't do the ESCO and I had to wait till they opened for a boat. I took a boat out of Galveston Texas that was at it's end of life and the motor was going but still good enough to get me out fishing. I bought a down rigger and after using it a bunch the crimp broke and I lost my ball. But one of the dock hands fixed it for me (crimped on a new end). So overall it was pretty good.

There's been a few people that didn't recognize me with the beard. Yeah it's a stabicraft 15.5. I didn't weigh the fish but I think that's the ballpark. Hope to get out a bunch more this year.

@@nicholascamerota2298 That is a concern but It wasn't for me since I mostly fish weekdays. But they have waitlists for the weekends and lots of people cancel. The nice thing is that there are a bunch of locations in Puget Sound (tacoma, port orchard, poulsbo, edmonds and olympia. So if your home location is booked, you can book a boat somewhere else. For weekends (besides holidays) you usually can get a boat if you book 2 weeks ahead.

Social media has ruined salmon fishing. Ask me why I say that, because the WDFW has been watching. In their meetings, they have mentioned numerous times social media being a reason for more and more impacts through out the years.

That's the first time I've heard that excuse. Usually it's indians, commercial fishing, illegal chinese fishing or wdfw incompetence for why salmon has been ruined. I'm sure before 2004 everyone was taking home 50 pounders by the boat load.

That makes no sense, because they have a quota which stops to much taking from youtube sportsman. 🤔 and boy do they close it fast when we get close to a quota. Social media is here to stay, if people share spots it is actually spreading people out to new spots and takes pressure off old ones.. And 25 years ago wa,state used our taxes to pay for commercials to get people here specifically to hunt and fish., funny how they blame something that doesn't hurt it at all. And now today they invite everyone here as a sanctuary state..So not sure they focus on the right stuff to help salmon..hahaha 😉
