@@dbdb1681 Thanks for watching, and for the comment. They are my stock tail lights. I removed the badges and tinted them with a vinyl wrap tint that I got from Amazon. I think I have a video on TikTok about them (@mrthomasjonesy) they came out OK. Not perfect.

Considering that Texas is getting rid of temporary paper tags entirely January 1,2025, not surprised these are popular in Texas. I will say it’s probably the fastest way to get pulled over. I’m sure these will get used for toll roads. I hate the fees for those also. But I would hate for them to be patrolled even more.

In Texas, annual safety inspection goes away January 1,2025. It’s just one more thing to give them a reason to pull you over. Pretty sire if you are caught doing this. They will either tow you or remove the cover, the wiring, all of it right there. You can argue with laws enforcement in the side of the road all you want. I’ve had those, not very nice discussions with law enforcement on the road side. Usually understanding police. Still you have to know the laws and you can’t be doing dumb stuff. Everyone be safe.

I don't stock the controller that would make them independent usually because it doesn't sell. I can do a preorder for you but it could take 4 weeks or more some times.

@@rrpence21 this video makes it seem darker. As I mentioned the lighting was bad. If you check out other videos here and on IG it's less tinted than most regular tinted covers on the market. Clearly visible at night and day. That being said curtain style is also available on our site as well as mentioned in the video it's cheaper as too. Thanks for watching!

How do you run the wires for the blackout plate on a truck through the inside or underneath? I am trying to make it the most waterproof possible

We always run the wires into the trunk as "quickly" as possible. Typically you can find a place to enter the trunk near or at the license plate light. Occasionally it is quicker and easier to drill a small hole (use a rubber grommet to seal it). A customer did that on a charger (we went in the plate light on our install) but we did have to drill a hole on our Jeep SRT. Which vehicle are you specifically curious about ?

@@02gt60 Thanks for watching and appreciate the comment! Tinted covers themselves (like this one is when it's off) are illegal in some states. With the black out turned on it is illegal to drive that way in all states. This product is definitely labeled as "off road use only" for a reason. I find that our customers are usually one of three groups. Show cars using it at meets and shows, content creators using it for videos and lives and the third, most common... Those not worried about the potential tickets 😬

In Texas, anything that covers the license plate is illegal. Mounting it on the dash behind the windshield is illegal, because it’s behind the windshield. All vehicles in Texas are required to carry two plates. Antiques can only run a rear plate. But the old registration paperwork for antiques stated an antique vehicle was for parades and car club functions, not for daily use. The wording has changed a little. It’s giving law enforcement a legitimate reason to pull you over by covering your plate. Kind of like dark window tint. And it will only get worse. January 1, 2025 annual vehicle inspections are no longer required, unless you have to get emissions testing. Also January 1,2025 no more temporary paper tags. The state is doing away with them entirely. The law has already passed. As a hot rodder I like to stay far off the radar of law enforcement. If you drove any car that even looks fast(like this charger in the video) police are looking at you more than say the Honda. I’m not judging, just saying. Another issue, since Texas is a concealed carry state and constitutional carry state. It’s not a good look if you are a firearm owner. Cause you really don’t want to be out doing something that’s illegal with a firearm. Once again, not judging. But this adulting thing comes with responsibility.

@@gerardargao921 driving with it turned on is going to be illegal in all states. Some states have rules against tinted covers in general also. This plate cover is sold for off-road use only. 😎💪

It is illegal in NY also. The law doesn't allow any type of cover.
