GT7 is absolute trash: -- horrendous track environments with 2d cardboard trees from 20 years ago -- no physical or visual damage -- fake collisions that look like table tennis -- no dynamic weather on every track -- all cars sound the same: the exterior sounds like the interior as if you had the windows fully closed -- Every update sucks: ambulances, fictional (vision) cars, and fictional tracks, while FM gets proper racing cars and real-world tracks -- No ray tracing on gameplay -- In the last update they broke the game with an horrendous bug that makes it more unplayable than it was before. For starters the whole progression system, physics system, game engine, career, MP and gameplay are all very different. My thing with assetto, rfactor, PC2, and iRacing is that they aren’t games really. They’re just simulators for racing and that’s it. Theres no progression, no upgrading and customizing cars or whatever. Which is great for people that want that. If you’re just looking for raw racing experience for sure ACC and rfactor are gonna be your go to. But like gran turismo isn’t quite as realistic perhaps but it is still a game. This isn’t to say that there’s anything wrong with ACC or PC2 or iRacing. They’re just different from what GT and Motorsport are going for. BeamNG and automation make for a fantastic combo tho I must say.

What I mean is that I find, other than that they are both realistic racing sims, comparing something like ACC or PC2 to something like GT just doesn’t quite make a ton of sense because aside from get better at racing (or if you’re playing ACC on pc a ton of mods) there just isn’t that much to do in dedicated sims vs something like GT. Again this isn’t a negative towards ACC or other dedicated sims. They’re just different. For me personally I think ACC and PC2 are great I just never had the urge to really dive into them because my goblin gamer brain would rather pour time into GT where I can spend money on car upgrades and get that sweet neuron activate moment when I get a shiny new car.

GT7 was technically sound but had unsatisfactory progression. Simply put the game made you buy a bunch of cars you don't use to complete arbitrary checklists in order to progress the game. GT7 was actually vulnerable yet Team Green dropped the ball with Forza Motorsport. The nonsensical progression systems, the technical issues, poor performance, and paired back visuals. Xbox has had a bunch of botched releases; Halo Infinite, Redfall and Forza Motorsport. I wish Gran Turismo vs Forza Motorsport was a clash of titans. Instead it's a clash of something underwhelming and something that's definitely not built from the ground up.

They've disappointed me so many times, but I've still been able to enjoy each game enough to put several 100 hours each of them. This the latest Motosport game however was the last straw. The game was very good looking with good amounts of details of enviroment. Now the clouds are an absolute trash!?? No details, and painting looking. BTW, you know you can always change the proximity radar to be on mini map, it'll shows and replace the mini map only when you're close to other cars BTW, FM and GT7 are similiar. You can't save while being offline, the game is quite empty ane barebone in single player, everything is a bit forced to multiplayer, and can't forgot how both games lied to our face on the marketing. The differences is probably just that GT have a consistent model and quality, which apparently please people enough, and Forza usually have decency to add a new era cars. Not saying it's a bad thing, but to call FM is bad because of the similiar cons GT7 has, is a bit hypocrite

forza motorsport is 95% online ranked racing. That's the point of the game's existence. Name another game that does scheduled ranked competitive racing with daily/weekly races with a penalty system with ROAD cars. It's the most fun ive had in a racing game period. I dont have a ps5 so i cant say much for grand turismo but the online racing looks to be mostly gt and other race cars. And i havent tried iracing either but that seems to be mostly race cars as well (i could be wrong)

You're not completely wrong. GT7 usually has 1 weekly race with road cars, and 2 weekly with race cars - you can almost never use a custom upgraded car tho. iRacing is basically all racing cars, but imo iRacing is still the king if you want to race seriously with wheel and pedals.

Forza Motorsport's biggest failing isn't the bugs and technical issues, ironically. Those can be fixed. FM's biggest flaw is something that can't be fixed: It's the epitome of MVP - Minimum Viable Product - That's common in the software industry. There is no soul, passion or heart to the game. It's bland, boring, and functions at a passable level. Nothing more, nothing less. It lacks everything from presentation to content. Speaking of content, if it had launched with at least, the same content as FM7, I don't think it would get the hate it does? But content is what keeps people playing, and the lack of it at launch caused many to quit altogether, car points & progression issues, aside.

I think everyone needs to calm down about this game. It's definitely salvageable, we just need to give the devs constructive criticism and suggestions, they just need to listen to us and implement them. Honestly, it's just the career mode that can't be saved, the multiplayer was clearly prioritised at some point in this game's development and I think people that still play the multiplayer will agree with me that it's still reasonably fun but needs serious improvement in many areas. Either way, one thing this game isn't, is a scam because that's not what the definition of scam means. I think the title is a bit clickbaity and it's just getting everyone riled up which helps nothing and nobody.

Those who labelled this racing game of the year are not people who actually play racing games, played this for a week at launch to review it, and haven't played it since Oct. 2023. Those who criticised it get called weirdos by people who don't play the game, search up a review it and see it be rated 8-9/10. But then again those who play it are not enjoying it, whilst the press who doesnt play it thinks its great. It's pretty weird in that sense.

Unfortunately the only modern track based simcade currently is GT7. I wish there were more and also tbh I’d like to see a street racing game with simcade physics. Like gimme the silly customization and crazy engine swaps and all that from need for speed and then GT physics and I’m set.

There's definitely some features missing from the game that I hope they add soon, but honestly I still enjoy the game. Tuning street cars the way I want and then racing them on circuit is good fun. PS. Adjusting the wheel feedback sliders in the settings can help improve the feel significantly. Default is OK, but I've gotten mine to feel very close to how it feels in Assetto Corsa. I will reply to this comment with a list of the sliders and the # I have each one at, and hope it helps anyone that may try it.

The very first Forza Motorsport got me hooked as I was so excited to have a GT competitor, amazing to see how far they've fallen. I played this on Gamepass, couldn't progress because of the huge amount of bugs, uninstalled it after a week and cancelled my Gamepass sub I'd had for quite some time. I picked it up at 50% off recently to try it out, it is at least somewhat stable now but damn it is still empty as hell. I'm happy lapping Nurburgring in Rivals in all sorts of cars but outside of that I have nothing to do, I play Horizon 4/5 more and I'm someone who prefers Motorsport stuff. They really screwed it up.

When this game came out I forgave the state it was in because at the time I thought it was a solid base to built on (bugs aside) from a pure gameplay point of view (I genuinly like the handling improvements over previous forza games) , but bugfixes have been slow, and meaningful content rollout has been glacial... we`ve been getting 1 map every 1-2 months, and no actual permanant content, other than hateful FOMO crap, instead of just making the new monthly cups be permanant additions to the career, which is barebones as shit, and in desperate need of either a massive content injections, or being thrown in the bin altogether in favour of something new. I don`t know what the multiplayer is like, because I play singleplayer almost exclusively, so the game isn`t worth playing to me, and at the rate they`ve been releasing content, I don`t think it will be a game I would consider worth playing for atleast a couple of years, if ever... I have the smallest hope that they`ll drop some huge content update for the 1st year aniversary (which I also kind of doubt), otherwise I hope that they atleast learn from the mistakes they`ve made with this game, and push to make the next game into what this one should have been (which I`ve also lost faith in, because I`ve lost faith in turn10)

Aside from the suspension geometry and anti squat, the cars still move the same way. The drag tires are the equivalent to racing tires in fh5… but I digress

Yeah, still a (bit of a) “scam” unfortunately. In FM’s Update 10, they added the Reventon and butchered its engine sound, making it sound like an Aventador. Idk why they keep bringing new issues in updates but I guess they’re heavily criticized for that. It’s valid criticism. They deserve that until they make a proper apology by TRUTHFULLY building their game from the ground up. The older Forzas are still better than this FM23 acutally. Even the majority of players including me said that GT7 is still beating the shit out of FM23, which I agree.

I bought this game on day 1, since day 1 the game ran like crap for me on PC. Made no difference if i turned all the settings all the way down, the game was an unplayable mess with constant microstutters and severe framerate drops at the start/finish line of each track. Last week i found out that by turning off one simple setting (V-sync) all those stuttering/framerate drops vanished like snow in the sun. I personally own hundreds of games on several digital storefronts but i never had an issue with a game that went unplayable just by turning on V-sync. All of the sudden i can play this game normally with maxxed out settings, ray-tracing flatout and the game never goes under 80FPS for me personally at 1440p...

I grew up on Forza, I’ve played 1,2,3 and 4 but I deleted this one a few months ago and haven’t missed it. Everything about this game was kinda dull and the handling is TERRIBLE. Every freaking car that isn’t a race car drives with excessive understeer or drives like it’s on ice.
