Conveyors *might* work in space, but you'd need to magnetize them probably, and then you'd need to stick all the non-magnetic ores in a steel box. Which would be viable, probably, because there's a lot of ferrous metals in asteroids. EDIT: That ending is extremely appropriate. 12/10.

This is a refreshing Perspective, I don't get to see your take on mining much. Unfortunately for me as Mining is my Go to job for the most part, Just to keep Science off the QM's Ass.... And I'm slowly Branching out from there as I encounter more stuff as it overlaps and encroaches on my mining job As I'm still kind of new.... 10:40 is why I tend to run without a Scoop, and just Clicky Clicky pickup the ore into a bare Satchel. Though, seeing Elrod Trevisard with that Ore Collecting Dohicky, I'll have a go at figuring that out.... Will save me from Tired fingers! Also, is there anything Cool I can do as a Miner to Help Spice up things for other jobs on the station? On TG I make a Note to Deliver a Few of Gold, Silver, Plasma And Uranium to the Bartender for his more Special Cocktails... I don't know what he needs on goonstation though..... (last time I did that I had a B52 at the bar, then got Abducted by Alien Scientists or something, what was With that?... Even recorded that on Video.... watch?v=OOg_IB1AQWs) Oh and when you couldn't get materials stuff out that machine, It's cause when it says it has "100" in the machine, what it actually means is it has 10 withdrawable.... Wierd but that's how it is.... So you had to withdraw just 10 telecrystals to get it to eject them, otherwise you were asking for too much and computer says no....

Conveyor is usually powered by electrical motors and lite conveyor is powered by air. The only problem then is keeping the stuff on the conveyor, a slightly magnetized belt could help, but after that l dont know what you could do.

Wouldn't a zero G space conveyor belt be a pneumatic tube that operates under ambient air pressure? Just put some really big cleats on the belt and cover the top and sides.

I dont know if air pneumatics work in zero g vacuums, I don't think hydraulic do, and pneumatic conveyer I've only ever seen used on light stuff, think Amazon packages, where heavy loads, like at a airport are electrical motors. The cleats idea would might work I just have no way of knowing how efficient it would be.

My favorite "How did ancient man come up with this" Thing is Fugu (Puffer Fish). Who cut up the weird balloon fish, fed it to their friend, watched him die, and then said "I'll sell it to rich people and call it a Delicacy". Even when cut and prepared correctly by a professional it's still so poisonous that it kills 1 out of every 8 people, and even if you arn't one of the people to die from it, it's toxic enough it makes your mouth tingle.

Tex also you can click drag ore to another tile to get them to stack, If they aren't in a stack already and the tile has to be within your reach.

If you see or think of something you want to try out (that doesn't ruin everyone else's fun) find a way to try it out. It's a sandbox so sometimes you just gotta hit the beach and relax.

Eh, on goon it's kinda different because you've got different cults, Science, cargo, Engineering, The cult of hellburn, and the cult of chemistry. There are some amazing chems and shit out there. Just people keep them to themselves. TG and the like can have people end up destroying entire stations because they know how to play (also see Hijack/glorious death)
