Jennie is Korean born and raised in Korea went to New Zealand for 5 years to study abroad. Then went back to Korea. Rosé born in New Zealand and raised in Australia. But she’s full Korean her parents are Korean. Lisa ofc Thai born and raised in Thailand when she auditioned for yg she couldn’t speak Korean but now her Korean is so good! This guide is not recent. Actually its rhe 2019 version, If you want something more recent, check out the 2023 version. There's no 2024 version yet. About the members, jisoo by then couldn't speak English, but right now she's pretty good, she understands everything she's just kinda shy when it comes to speak it, each of them speak at least 3 lenguagues, I really recommen you to check out the 2023 long guide, it's way more informative and not cringy like this, by the way they also hate to do aegyo especially jisoo, the interviewers asked jennie to do it and of course she felt embarrassed.

BLACKPINK MEMBERS AND ENGLISH and other languages: Rosé was born in New Zealand and moved to Australia at a young age (8?) and then moved to Korea to train at YG around 15 or so I think. So she's a native English speaker. Jennie was born in Korea and was a transfer student studying in New Zealand for 5 years sonewhere around the age of 10(?) and then around maybe 15 her mom was going to have her move to Florida to study (bad idea, I've lived in Florida, as an adult so luckily didn't attend the crappy schools there), but Jennie wanted to stay in Korea and look into singing. So Jennie is near native speaker level in English. She's also started trying to learn French. Lisa is good at English but not always super confident and denies her English is great (though she now owns a house in the Hollywood Hills so she'll probably improve the more time she occasionally soends in America). I think they meant basic Chinese as beginner level Mandarin speaking. She's not fluent in Japanese, the members all use translators on Japanese shows. Lisa's level of Japanese is probably similar to mine, maybe not technically even at conversational level, but possibly she has better grammar if she formally studied in classes, whereas I probably have more vocabulary than her from years of learning self study on and off in the decade when I was seriously into anime, working as convention staff and watching friends' import laserdiscs and grey market grocery rental vhs tapes without subtitles trying to follow what was happening. (I also possibly have more kanji knowledge -- that I keep forgetting and relearning as is common among gaijin). Lisa seems to want to learn some more Spanish since becoming friends with Rosalia. As a Thai she is the only member who didn't have Korean parents, but apparently speaks at a near native level after all the years in Korea. Jisoo is Korean born. She understands lots of the English she hears, but isn't so confident trying to speak it. She has a strong accent, but BLINKs find it adorable when she utters her English Jisoo-isms. "and you?". She apparently also studied Mandarin Chinese.

BLACKPINK performed at Coachella on both weekends of 2 different years 2019 & 2024. One of your BLINK subscribers probably has links to find those 4 full concert videos taken off the official livestreams since I've seen reactions to performances not released officially on BP channel. COACHELLA 2023 BLACKPINK were HEADLINERS and so was ROSALIA which is where I think Lisa first met her and became friends leading up to Rosalia featuring on Lisa's recent song NEW WOMAN. COACHELLA 2019 BLACKPINK were on the Sahara Stage as the first stop on the North American leg of their BLACKPINK In Your Area tour. I spent several hundred dollars to fly to Newark for about 24 hours just to attend the added 2nd day concert there because they most definitely did not have any shows 'in my area'. Staying awake all night defending my bag of tshirts and lightstick at the airport to catch an early morning flight back home was exhausting, but the concert was a blast. Probably the most fun concert I'd attended since the S3xt4sy Ball many years ago circa 1995 with Lords of Acid (sadly substitute vocalists on tour, no Jade4U or Praga Khan) and MLwtTKK (which was like one big dance pit instead of a mosh pit, though after the pandemic happened niwadays I'd never want to be in such a big sweaty crowd smashed close together dancing ever again) the group famous for S3x on Wheels song which got bigger after Cool World movie soundtrack used it.

for positions vocal rapper dancer MAIN #1 vocal, LEAD #2 vocal, then just plain 'vocal', then sub-vocal which you'd probably consider Lisa within BLACKPINK because she mostly gets rap lines. Lisa is my favorite Kpop idol period and arguably one of the best performers in Kpop with crazy strong stage presence. Lisa isn't just the best dancer in BLACKPINK, she's arguably the best dancer among Kpop girl group members. The only ones that can dance better than Lisa are the professional dancers who choreograph for groups. Some delulu fans think their favorite Kpop dancer can outdance professional dancers, but at least one fandom learned the hard way when their fave went on Street Woman Fighter competing against professional dancers / choreographers like Aiki and didn't fare so well. Lisa gets a lot of praise from choreographers and she probably could've been a professional dancer if she hadn't become a Kpop idol, but I'm realistic about idols v pro dancers.
