I know he hasn't heard too many solo music videos (I have), but he isn't wrong to ask who is topping Lisa. Just the numbers suggest MAYBE Jennie can match Lisa (both have solo music videos exceeding 1 billion views), but no other female Kpop Idol comes close to Lisa's music video numbers or IG followers. All four members are superstars. Lisa is the Rihanna, Jennie is Beyonce, Rose is the Taylor Swift of Kpop, and Jisoo is also a famous award winning Lead Dramatic Actress that makes her a combination of Adele and Jennifer Lawrence of Korea. Yeah, Jisoo doesn't stand out to Western audiences, but her 2023 album holds the all-time record for sales by a solo female kpop Idol and the related 2023 Flower music video had more views than any other music video by a Kpop or Jpop act coming out in 2023 (male or female, group or solo). 13:01 Ok, you see, no. Tecnically they are not under YG. The group is, but they are not. They promote under YG as Blackpink and their former releases will still bring YG revenue, but Idk if they'll still make music as Blackpink (or if they even want to). Anything and everything that they do as solo artists will be promoted in their respective labels (Lisa with LOUD, Jennie and Rosé with The Black Label and Jisoo with Blisoo). It's not completely clear how the girls want to move forward with the group. Or if the group will still be attached to YG if they ever perform BP stuff together. Maybe so, just like with BIGBANG, but it was reaaaally a one and done for the guys. Just to put a full stop with their relationship with YG. At least as far as I can tell. Ps: Lisa is indeed incredible, but nooo... She is not the best soloist. I am yet to see someone go harder than Taemin. He has the most consistent solo career in kpop. The man spews bops since he was a teen. He is over 30 now. Come on. Even Jimin fanboys over him. Buuuuut this is no diss. Lisa is absolutely divine. Taemin is my ult bias in kpop, people nicknamed him the Michael Jackson of Korea for years for a reason. So the comparison in itself is to have her in the highest of regards.
