Hi Stephen, Your old opticians at 17.30 with the wood sheets on the window, reminded me of when i took my broken glasses at ten to six on a saturday night to my opticians and asked them if they could fix them ? They told me they were closing in ten minutes at six o'clock. So they boarded my glasses up for the weekend ! lol 😂 Good video sad to see the decay and the closed businesses and shops that are still trying to earn a living. Investors needed to turn empty shops and properties into much needed living accomodation and bring some life back to areas like that.

I wonder how busy those "swanky" hotels and bed and breakfasts are mid-week? I would imagine they can only make it pay by being paid cash in hand by guests. You should interview hotel and b&b owners about their working lives in Blackpool, the trials and tribulations, ups and downs. They must have some fascinating stories to tell.
