Today we visited Blackpool tower ballroom for the first time.
An absolutley magnificent place. Unfortunately the higher balconies were closed off, so we couldn't explore any further. We will definitely visit again, maybe go for the afternoon tea.

I was 11 years old, in 1974, the first and only time I visited this magnificent building. I was on holiday with my best friend and her parents. We stayed in a boarding house that had a great view of the tower, so we could see it lit up at night when we went to bed. I even had a waltz, (well, sort of, lol) with my friend's mum in that ballroom. Holidaying in Blackpool was a fun experience, especially at that age and when I saw your video, how could I not watch it ?. Thankyou so much for taking me on a trip down memory lane. Thanks so much for your message we love hearing things like this, it really is a magnificent building - we have been in quite a few times now but every time we go we can’t help but look at all the architecture and imagine how many people have passed through there and all the history within the building. Many, many years ago I typed up a thesis for an art student whose subject was the Blackpool Tower. It was unbelievable. She had access to all areas. It was fascinating to read. I wish I had kept a copy for myself! What a wonderful monument the Tower is. The ballroom like you say is magnificent! Thank you for sharing.

Wow amazing that would have been a very interesting read I’m sure - I’d love to be able to access all areas in there, no doubt there’s hidden little passages and rooms everywhere all with their stories and history to tell. Thanks very much for your comment and we are glad you enjoyed the video!
