I've said it before, but it bears repeating. Bro, you have a terrific balance between skill and whimsy. Very often people get so caught up in the minutae of a thing, that they forget they used to enjoy the thing. Learning from someone like that can be an ordeal. Lol I'm doing this same process now myself, great way to refresh your mind. I'm honestly forging a toilet paper holder too, but I stopped myself from making it that fancy. I was going to!! Then I realized nobody could see it once it was stocked haha I'm just doing a weird twist scroll at the end with a 3/4th's stock. I'm gonna have to try the brass trick tho!! Tanks man!!

@@skullandspade pfft, flattery will get you.. hmm, pretty much everywhere 🤩 But alas no, I only wish I could get it all without practice, yesterday I had to resolder a pendant I'm working on, I don't know how many times 🤬 At one point the little jump ring I was trying to solder onto a bigger piece, got soldered to the clamp that was holding it rather than the thing it was supposed to be be stuck to!!! Took s fair bit of soul searching, before I could tell myself that it was all part of learning and that people spend a long time learning these things. Hence I can't expect it to work perfectly first time I try it 🤔

I greatly enjoyed the tone and pace of the video. The teaching style is, of course, excellent. I recall your and Jessie's lessons every time I am at a forge! The curtain hooks are such a great idea, I may need to try to replicate something similar. It would be great practice to get consistent tapers and hooks.
