Brilliant amps, I have an artist 15 and gassed over a Victory V40D with the 2*12. Realised the hard way that at most sensible volumes, the Artist is a sweeter sounding, more versatile amp. The V40 is more percussive, clearer and louder but the Artist holds its own and has more body and warmth. Now run both in stereo which sounds utterly massive.

Just bought an Artist 30 2x112 from you guys in the summer sale. 400 quid. Sounds truly fantastic. So much so that I'll probably ditch loads of pedals, well probably keep a couple for boost/drive because the amp's drive is very subtle, gorgeous nonetheless.

you should consider using at least one guitar with single coils and one with humbuckers when demonstrating an amp. I just don't like the sound of a strat so I know I would never use it like that and therefore it's a bit harder to concentrate and get the feeling of what the amp is really doing and extrapolate it to a guitar with humbuckers or P90s

That's silly money for a giggable amp that good. Sits somewhere between a Fender Hot Rod and a Laney Lionheart for me. Lee's going to have no issues at all shifting those.

I bought an Artisan 15 when they first came out it let me down TWICE live, Blackstar wouldn't give me my money back, just a replacement, which I sold at a loss on Ebay. I bought the 100w hand wired head a year later and that crapped out on the first time I used it live. I got my money back on that one. Maybe these amps are built better now. But I wouldn't buy another one. NB: These amps were not bought from Andertons. (Trevor Durrant Colchester-now out of business)

favoriteblueshirt You had an ARTISAN series amp. Those are the handwired amps. These are the ARTIST series amp. Total different animals. I had an Artist 30 for several years and run it cranked for most if it’s life. Never let me down once and sounded phenomenal.
