2 things, that SG2000 behind is identical to mine, incredible guitar, mine bought new for £950 around 2001, I will NEVER sell it. Re amp, I've this along with the PSU and extension cab new off Ebay for £55 several few years ago , brill for late night noodling in the kitchen as my big boy gear is setup upstairs. I agreed with your review 100%. With the 2nd cab attached you've then a great stereo setup via 3.mm jack for music during the summer in the garden too. Batteries seen to last well but yes, PSU and/or rechargeables is the way to go. Its a WIN WIN WIN in my books....... Well happy! :))

It exists with built in rechargeable battery and also with a Bluetooth input so as to play backing or other tracks from a smartphone, tablet or computer without need for a cable

Blackstar are certainly onto a winner with these little amps.

I've had one now around 5 years, it's excellent,I use it with my electro acoustics when playing in an acoustic duo to give that slight edge in the duo and it is great 😊

To be honest these little amps are quite amazing, they look like a toy but they're not.

Nice one Steve, I’ve just done a frequency analysis of one compared to a few other digital/micro amps and it stacked up surprisingly well

Thanks Will, it is an amazing little amp with a surprising amount of features for very little money.

@@coolriffsguitar wasn’t far off the quality that we got out of the Kemper and the Quad Cortex, if you’re after one of them to review I’ll happily lend you mine for a few days

Thanks Will thats very kind but I think youtube is quite saturated with Kemper, Quad, Helix videos etc.

If you really want to hear the Fly roar, get the extension cabinet. I grabbed the set in Green when they launched and used it for travel. I finally sold it off when my travel was reduced to nothing. Also, they handle pedals pretty well, too.

Great pic of a SG I have a SG1000 and your RockCityTim reminds me of the place I met my Mrs in Nottingham.

@@coolriffsguitar I bought that SG8800S brand new in the Yamaha store in Ginza in 1983. It's been my forever guitar since. Most folks don't recognize (or know of) the amount of aerospace and military design and development that goes on here in little old Huntsville, AL.

I don't use headphones with the amp, so I can't answer that question. Sorry.

Hate to throw shade, but about 2 1/2 years ago I purchased the whole kit.....loved the sound,, However: on/off switch stopped working...power light goes on/off, no output. This after brutal service of sitting in my office. On a desk. Used maybe 3 times/A week. Never gigged? Never moved!! Sweetwater's usually helpful customer service: no assistance, out of warranty. No kidding... Blackstar: no assistance, diagnostic charge for repair $75.00 minimum; repairs/parts/shipping additional. Did I fix it? Seriously?
