Well, yeah. Same company made it. Skeletor's voice actor voices Overlord, and it has tons of voice actors that were also in He-Man and She-Ra.

Yeah idk I see slight similarities, but not enough to say it inspired He Man. This seems even more fantasy than He Man. I think He Man was more about selling toys, while this seems more about telling a fantasy cartoon.

The premise to series was the Overlord was after Blackstars star sword which when combined with his own power sword would make the ultimate weapon in the universe "the powerstar (sword!)"

Blackstar was a mix of Buck Rogers and He-man. And yes, I know the Blackstar cartoon precedes the He-man cartoon, but the He-Man toyline/mini-comics predates Blackstar by several months.
