As far as I know $100 Trillion is a combined worth of all the companies currently tradable at the stock market. Another $80 trillion worth of money is held by private hands and as such they are not accounted for and often even hard to evaluate as they don't have a publicly agreed upon price.

The video discusses the old LBO model is out, PEG growth is in, completely false. It's still LBO industry, just with a changed name. They apply 70% leverage thru loans to buy these businesses, hold them for 1 to 7 years, cut costs, invest very little, then sell or liquidate the businesses. Eventually, the businesses become weaker, disappear, competitors take their market share. Private equity firm and investors strip out as much cash as possible during the 1 to 7 year of owning the business, then they dump them
