So the double undercut is if like you’re wearing gloves and your finger is farther forward? Because otherwise I don’t see a need for anything more than a single undercut where your support hand pointer finger is

Some people have a very high grip like myself. That gives a little slot for your index finger on your support hand to sit in

Undercut was the FIRST mod to my Glock 19!!!! Makes a big difference

@@freebeard7361 adding an undercut gives your middle finger more room so you can get a higher , more secure grip on the gun. People often make changes to their stock Glock frames to be more comfortable for them. Stock Glock frames can be a lil slippery imo

@@freebeard7361 shoot a G19 and you will get Glock knuckle. It’s not fun. I dremmeled mine before I ever shot it again. Makes it a lot more comfortable and easier to get a higher grip on the gun. This helps for accuracy and recoil control. The video shows me how to clean up the tool marks. I’ll do that next. I didn’t remove any material from the trigger guard forward of the grip radius just the radius.

Why use a glock 19 if you're not comfortable with the grip. Instead use a glock 19x or a glock 45.

Did you smooth out the rest of the trigger guard after the video, or did you leave the texture and the mold stamp.

Check out Jimmy Diresta, does awesome woodworking, metal working, etc. and a ton of his videos are high speed, no talking, well shot videos beginning to end. He tells a story of his work without saying a thing. It's entrancing.

Appears to be a dremel wand extension and a sanding wheel. Grit on the sandpaper should progressively get finer throughout the process.

Ahhh the life of a glock lover. Buying aftermarket parts to bring the weapon up to speed. Making snarky comments comparing your highly customized gun to other people's stock guns. Nice quiet mornings grinding your gun into a different shape and basically finishing designing glock's gun for them. Delightful times. Glock is "the best". Lol

At the very least, use a jig and a router bit. That way the cuts are square to the frame. Cabinet makers shouldn't watch gunsmith videos. I'm out.

He could have saved himself a lot of grief by just simply getting a polymer 80 lower for his Glock finish it up and then transfer the slide to it, and Presto change-o you got yourself beautiful work of art. Now take it to the range and enjoy some lead therapy.... Be safe on the Range.

@@rickrobinson8417 Simple, if you compare the two frames.... You see the improvements that the Polymer 80 frame has. From the trigger guard to the rails for a light or laser attachment. The texture on the grip. Trust me it rocks.

I was a dental technician for 17 years. The "handpiece" we used was similar to a dremel. It aloud me to be skilled at dremel work with my guns. I think I can do better on my 1st try.

Recently shot a Glock 43x and that trigger guard is one of the principle complaints about the pistol that would have steered me away from purchasing that particular model.

If they recommended it they would mold the lower with this already in it. I'm sure they would say the trigger guard is no longer as robust as intended when first designed.

I recently did this on a pistol and went a little thinner than I would’ve liked to, is there anything I can do to add some thickness back ? I thought about using jb plastic bond and sanding it down and reshaping after applied

So there’s a magazine in the gun with it pointed in the guys direction while he’s working on it at the beginning. Is that bad? No trigger.

It's just a bare frame. No slide on it and the magazine is just dropped in there so the vice doesn't crush or deform the grip, it's not actually seated fully.

Tools plus the time. Some people's time is worth more than others. It's like car repair and I won't even look at your car for anything less than $65/hr. Some people are pushing $100/hr. Its all about what people are willing to pay because they aren't confident or possess the skills or time themselves.
