I wish they kept the blue and red theme the protagonist and antagonist had also shouldn't have changed the name because "The Ghosting Hour" had a more mysterious noir aesthetic than "Gangster Table" and was a good play on words since you're also some sort of ghost/spirit being able to possess another body. I feel like way more could've been done with the concept and feel bad for the sound designer since most of their sounds weren't used.
@Pope_2 ай бұрын
to be fair to the sound designer, he went above and beyond and made enough sounds for any genre, and in the timeframe he knew there was very little chance all the sounds where used. It would be cool if the project was open sourced though, i would like to see where a independent dev pushes the game without limits.
@DeletedDevilDeletedAngel2 ай бұрын
@@Pope_ what about a sound pack?
@EncontheCrow2 ай бұрын
Yeah the name change was disappointing so generic. They probably could've used more sounds but that time limit restricts how much they can do. I hope if they do post or sell these games they at least refine them more before release. Like making an interesting video to market out devs and their classes along with a unique game and creation is fine, but releasing these as is in any way seems sorta questionable.

@ThatHolyGamer2 ай бұрын
Yeah they need atleast more than 1 programmer.
@EncontheCrow2 ай бұрын
@@ThatHolyGamer Yup you need one to set up all the foundational coding and one to refine the code at least. I kinda wish they would have open playtests so the community can interact with devs and the channel somewhat. Do tweaks from the feedback and release these for free or priced based on how good the game is and amount of work put in overall. Because we all know some of these would be Indie hits and make alot of money refined more. Others...well lets say whoever made the last big changes are really the devs because a good chunk of the work people put in it gets either scrapped completely or used entirely as a stepping stool several times over. If only some efforts effect the game outcome no one should get a penny for any of it as you basically worked and wasted time for free. Really starting to notice a underhanded tone with BTP of being kinda cheezy-schemey for clout and Tube money and having devs do work for free because they get "exposure" in return.

Destiny was also made this way, sort of. Bungie wasn't planning to make another Halo style shooter, and was toying around with ideas so chaotic that Marty was just twiddling his thumbs. So he made something he called "The Song of the Spheres" which was a small album's worth of music to capture a unique vibe and help unify the team's vision. They all loved it and pushed forward with it. Most of the music was then vetoed by Activision as producer influence and didn't make it into the game, but that music was the spiritual backbone that helped bring the devs in line and design what ultimately became Destiny 1 and later 2. So yeah it's kind of odd, but it clearly works as a directional through-line tool for a gentle guidance in place of true direction. Perfect for this series.
@LighthoofDryden2 ай бұрын

@Will_Forge2 ай бұрын
@@LighthoofDryden You can find that music online, too. I think I was wrong and it's Music of the Spheres, not "song". But yeah Marty uploaded it to YT and then had to take it down by Bungie's demand. But others have reuploaded it since so if you want to listen it's out there. But anyway yeah the story is the more relevant part. It's cool stuff! 😆
@Ilzhain2 ай бұрын
My only real critiques would be that 'Ghosting Hour' is a way better title, the font choice is a little tacky feeling and the UI is a bit too large and cluttered which pulls away from the really nice art. Also would've fit the vibe better if the cards looked like actual cards and not floating translucent rectangles.

Not surprised that BTP broke one of the rules they made when they're part of the dev team. Each Dev is not allowed to change what the previous Dev has made, only add to it/build off of it. I have an idea that could solve a lot of the confusion: How about you only play from the players side. But every card has 2 sides visible (Similar to a domino). One side is your action, while the opposite side is the enemy action. So, you pick a card that says reload but the enemy will shoot you for 2 damage. Or another card that is reload but the enemy will draw 2 cards. From here you can either have cards with randomizing both your side and the enemy's action. So the domino sided like cards are interchangeable every time they are drawn. Or the double sided cards are permanent designed and you just build your deck and take the negative sides that the enemy will do. Another option would be like. A card that says lose a card from your hand but ignore the action of the enemy next turn. That way you can discard a card you dont like either side, as well as your next card you use will be your best but also ignore the extremely painful action the enemy was going to do from that card.
