Usually the main character in a preteen anime doesn't show such emotion with the girl. But clearly Dan cares for Runo just as much as she does for him. One of the things I appreciate from this show.

Obvious Nobody Kinda simple, in season 2 Mira was the leader of the Resistance, so it's obvious she needs to take a bigger picture there, but in this season were moments that Runo was in the first place. Season 3, Dan changed place of living (bcs of school so far I remember? That's how he met Jake), so Runo was far away, I still have no Idea how Julie was there, but whatever, she reminded Runo so +1 for her and of course the most inportant thing but rather person. Fabia, The freaking Princess of the land that they defend and even using the Chaos Atribute, so yeah... guess why Runo is not there. And of course season 4, that actually her appearance made me give this crappy season another shot (Mechtogans pls, it's just too much, just stay with bakugans, battlegears were enough) but let's back to answering. Dan moved again, Runo is still away and out of brawling for a long while, so she's probably not even interested in being a brawler like Dan, Marucho and Shun (and actually if we are not going into splitting this season into 2 halfs, they are only main characters), She grew up from this and she made a comeback only bcs Mira needed her and she was their support otherwise, she wouldn't even appear and keep helping in the cafe. I think my explanation was good enough XD

If Runo, Julie and Alice were main characters in Season 2 and fought the big brawls in New Vestroia with Dan, Shun and Marucho and Mira's group, I would LOVE Season 2. BUT the fact that they are left behind for most of the main fights while the boys don't care very much is almost as stating that they can be replaced (which they 100% can't) and that makes me TRULY SAD😞, specially for Runo, she Loves💓 Dan so freaking much!!! It doesn't work if the whole team isn't there, new members such as Baron may come but not separate such a brotherly group😊. PS: Dan and Runo forever 💑!!

If you think that's bad, what hurt me the most was the fact that by season four Runo and Dan showed next to no romantic interest in each other, which that SO VERY CLEARLY HAD in the first two seasons. To this day I'm still heartbroken over it 😖💔

I couldn't agree more runo ,alice and Julie should have been the main characters 😠 in season 2 and could the same in season 3 and 4 because it's so obvious there are the original team and still are , leaving them out was one of the biggest mistake in anime history 😤 especially alice she was one my favorite characters in season 1 and the way they left her as a side character unbelievable 😞😠😤
