Damiki blades and tailspins are my go to’s! I was out fishing ( California guy )in Tennessee last January … air temps 19-23 degrees, water temps 40-43 degrees. My buddy and I fished 4 days in a row and I caught all my bass on blades and tailspins… I threw other baits… Ned rigs, Texas rigs, underspins, and keitech swimbaits to no avail. Hopping a blade in 15-25’ of water or slow rolling a tailspin mid water column did the trick!

Im fishing a bank tournament next week and its 2 days after a big cold front, what lures should i be fishing and should i focus deep or shallow water?
@cra-bassint.v.56643 жыл бұрын
I'd probably start deep.. the cold weather moving in is goin to push them more to head offshore and deeper to escape the elements.. so I'd probably go as deep as u can get from the bank.. I didn't know they did bank tourneys but that's definitely cool my friend but cold fronts to me says maybe start slow and on a bigger side of finesse baits (if that makes sense), or some lipless crank baits or if access to any structure then my personal favorite is jig fishing.. good luck my friend and tight lines 🤙
@TXpondking3 жыл бұрын
@@cra-bassint.v.5664 yeah they do bank pond fishing tournaments. I very rarely fish a cold front so i really dont know how to do well. but the tournament is on a cold front and i have to fish it

At the risk of asking a stupid question, other than sound, what's the difference in a "blade" bait and a "lip less" crankbait? Or are they the same thing? I see the Blade bait and think That's just a Rattletrap without the rattle, but I also see it as a Lip Less CB
@codyseale3 жыл бұрын
@@RobShortonGooglePlus Ah, that makes sense. I guess I've never bought blade baits and didn't realize they were solid metal. I was only seeing the shape and knew something looked different but never put 2 & 2 together. Thanks

@juliolua21043 жыл бұрын
You keep saying "bottom" with a heavy metal jig with a treble hook... So it's safe to assume blade bait fishing you lose a lot of lures. I may pass on this bait for most structure fishing.
@cra-bassint.v.56643 жыл бұрын
Buy a lure retriever.. there's a cple different options for different lures and baits.. it'll save u a ton. And allows you to be dynamic and put lures that the bass already eat, but presents it in a way the fish never seen in places they never see it.. hope this helps bud and tight lines my friend

I use almost all treble hook baits for vertical jigging and ice fishing and don’t foul up nearly as much as I thought I would at first either. It’s worth a shot bc like stated above it presents the fish a bait where they normally would never see it
@juliolua21043 жыл бұрын
@@sayEDBTZ I'm not really concerned with it fouling up.
