Blade change on MacAllister 1500W 210mm sliding mitre saw MMIS210S-B. Safety gotcha near the end!

I change the very worn out blade on my MacAllister 1500W 210mm sliding mitre saw MMIS210S-B, having never done it before and no idea how to. Complete gotcha 8:30 minutes into the video. If you own one of these, please watch for your own safety.

I really appreciate your videos mate , I brought the same saw as you did last summer knowing that I was going to be buying an old new house , well I’ve finally moved and I’m now using my sliding chop saw, I ordered a finer cutting blade last night and it arrived this morning , hadn’t got a bloody clue how to change it but thanks to your video I’m going to have a go now . Keep up the great work your videos are really helpful , maybe smile a bit more when you do the job 😂

Hi, less than a couple of minutes into your video, I felt inspired to finally remove the well-worn blade on my table saw. It's off, cleaned and ready to be replaced with a ripping blade to work on some softwood. Table saws are, on the whole, easier to work with when it comes to changing blades. It is always a faff with mitre saws as just about everything needs removing, and carefully replacing - checking for missed items - before using. If you are anything like me, I can assure you, that you probably won't remember how to do it next time. But that's what KZbin is for.

Thanks Rob, my old rusty MacAllister COD305 DSLM had never had its blade changed. Thanks to you, I managed it (with the wifes help!). Struggled to get middle allen nut off to release the blade, but got there. Then putting it all back to the correct position was a challenge. More like an hour for me, but happy with that 👍

Hey, it is worth mentioning what the current bore size of the blade is. I can see the new blade is 30MM. This will help when buying a new blade and also the machine can only take blades up to 5000rpm.
