Thank you for this video. I have this saw, or should say, my mate toolnapped it 12 months ago. I needed to find out if you could set the height. You've saved me a trip to B&Q. Thank you and hope you still have all your fingers....

Can the angle be adjusted to ensure it's accurate? I had an old one of these back when they were sold under a different name but it had no adjustments.

Yes you can adjust the angle, and I had to as it wasn't true out of the box, but it was pretty easy to get it cutting straight

Have you found that when trying to do straight cuts (90 degree?), it doesn't cut straight every time? It's my first "big boy" power tool and I'm not sure if I'm just an idiot or not (probably am)

Yes I had to adjust it to make the 90 degree cuts straight, out of the box it wasn't cutting 90 degrees, which I only discovered after things didn't quite line up

Have you ever had an issue with the blade guard not going up? After a house move mine no longer goes up automatically but I can move it freely by hand?

Yes I have! In my case a liberal douse of WD40 to every single joint solved the problem

Sadly it doesn't have a lazer guide. I'd love it if it did, but it is a fairly budget mitre saw

Interesting, there must be slightly different model numbers, one with a laser and one without maybe?

Could you do a set up video on this... changing blade etc and just general set up I brought one and the instructions are doing my head in..lool

I have the same mitre saw but when cutting all the is a mess, the bag is not collecting the wood dust.

I've recently abandoned the dust bag, and now I connect my dust collection vacuum into the hole whenever I use the mitre saw, it works much better :-)

The bag is useless. Best to attach a dust extractor, but still not great. I tend to use mine outside.
