Bought one and it did the job! Had to cut one 4 ft. Piece of 3/8in. Did it with a old clapped out skillsaw. If you don't have a torch it's $40 well spent.

Would work a lot better with a corded saw. Corded tools handle sustained load better. You’re just killing like four batteries for no reason. But I do actually think this would be good/useful on a corded saw

Nah. I cut 42 foot of 5/8 plate in one evening with my fein circular saw. One blade too.

I use mine all the time. My favorite way to cut steel out of the shop. Cuts clean cool and fast. blade lasts a long time too.
