Very nice unboxing Jeff! You do a fantastic job of describing everything on any model helicopter because of the experience that you have. Horizon should consider putting you on the payroll. I have been a Blade guy for years but have definitely had ups and downs with them. Horizon should know that the last 10 helis I’ve bought have been because of your recommendations. And you have not steered me wrong. You have helped to overcome problems that they sometimes have right out of the box. I just bought a 230s and I’ve been kicking around either the 270 or 360. I have some 3 and 400 size Blades that are older and I bought them used so they aren’t set up right and I don’t fly them. But thanks to a lot I’ve learned from you I believe I can set them up and do it. Although there is a lot to be said for the newer tech that’s in the more recent line up. Love your videos as always. I gotta confess I didn’t watch the Goblin builds all the way through due to time constraints on my end, but I like the fact that I know I can go to your video list and pick up details anytime I want to know how to do something. The Goblins are out of my league right now anyway. Take care brother and keep up the great work!!! 🤠

Thank you very much and as always for watching! I am working out something with them right now. Not quite sure exactly what it entails but hopefully we will see a lot more blade products in the future 😉 The 360 is a fantastic model! I have gotten a few flights on it so far and I am very happy with it. I definitely recommend this one, flight video will be out Monday and radio set up video will be out in a few hours. The goblin build videos are not for everybody, I don’t expect everyone to watch them as they are very long and in-depth detailed build videos. I mainly do those videos for the guys that are building goblin helicopters they have a step-by-step tutorial guide on the build. Don’t worry, videos will not be going anywhere! I will do my best to make as many as I can and post multiple videos a week!

My tail came complete plastic with carbon fiber blades. The aluminum parts are upgrades I guess and are black but have a machining mark on the edges. Still flies good though obviously

What really triggers me is the wire job.. On the box art and the model out of the box, I mean ok you can rewire itself.. A couple of openings in the frame for some cable binders would've been nice. It looks like a decent Blade product with the metal head. But those wires are really cringe.
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 2 жыл бұрын
I agree, the wiring definitely bothers me. If you have watched any of my videos you will know I am a wiring fanatic and I like super clean helicopters where you can’t even see wires. I will definitely be rewiring and cutting and shortening all the wires. I get that they have a pre-done length of wire and they are mass-produced. So they’re not gonna be up to everyone’s standards, and a lot of people don’t mind it. It is a fantastic model! I have put quite a few flights on it already in by far my favorite blade helicopter!

Do you think this will stuff inside 450 size scale fusalges nicely?
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 2 жыл бұрын
It would stuffed inside of one very nicely! The only issues I can see you having depending on the specific type of scale body you are going for is tail boom set up because they use such a large diameter boom to eliminate boom supports if it is a raised up tail rotor or something of that nature that requires a gearbox style it could be an issue but on a normal scale 450 body it would fit perfectly!

So yes, I’ve already tested it. But! He is full of crap in a few ways. Number one, ESC temperature got pretty hot. After about four minutes at 100% head speed ESC was 183° when I shut it down. Yeah I know he’s claiming 140° but that’s just not the case. I also read he’s talking about more power. It’s not that you’re unleashing more power with the 4s pack by changing the ESC settings there is a way to get more power on any smart helicopter by changing in the forward programming. I’m going to do a video on that in a little bit. From my tests with stock pinion 4s after about four minutes temperature was 183° and amperage spiked over 50. I don’t know if I believe him when he says that you can do 70 A out of it. That’s not something I have tried yet. Have you personally tried it on 4s? You do gain torque. There is a difference between the two. But I don’t think it would be a reliable flight after flight set up without at least changing Pinion size. But I am working on that as we speak.
@sawyerheslep8493
@sawyerheslep8493 2 жыл бұрын
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I changed my pinion size and I don't ever run it at more than 65/70% throttle tho. As for a increase in power I can feel a difference in the governor, like doing tic tic tocks. It does have over current protection, and temp protection it ill go in to limp mode tho and then shut down. Now I'm not am not aware of what Moffetts the esc run to do the switching, but if it uses IGBTs (insulated gate bipolar transistors) it should be able to handle good a amount of current. Tho I think it might be a 32 bit system. Even If it doesn't use IGBTs, I'd think it'd be cool to have an esc use igbts to do all the switching. And then use a 555 timer to control PWM by using a variable resistor.

Also are going to build the fusion 480 super combo kit?
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 2 жыл бұрын
At 70% throttle it was very happy with the stock pinion on 4s. I didn’t see a temp over 143°. And I could definitely notice a lot more torque. I’m going to drop pinion size to a 10 tooth and see if the temps will come down with 100% throttle. Now the head speed will drop a little but the torque will make up for it. It definitely flies fantastic! I’m very happy with it on 4s but I don’t wanna make a video on anything until I am comfortable with anyone/everyone being able to do it and not have to worry about burning anything up. I really hope so! I would love to build a fusion 480. Probably my dream/favorite model made from blade!
