I've been fiddlin with a old 130 x lately ,put the turbo motor in it after cutting a little plastic and that thing has a stupid amount of power now never had one before and lot of options for one of those and it's cheap thrills.. I wore all my bl2s out and they all need rebuilt junk shaking servos anyhow ..I got one of those bl2 i built from scratch just setts on my living room shelf all CNC parts to heavy to fly good

I’ve still got a 130X laying around, what a junk heli lol it was crap back then! Those stupid tail gears where glass abs break all the time. The servos had the same problems the BL2 servos have after a while. Back in the day they were good because that’s all we had but In today’s day and age I won’t ever go back for them lol only reason I fixed this thing was to a video on the M1 vs BL2. It has been in the box for months now. This thing lacks power as well. What motor did you put in the 130? Never knew there was a bigger motor for it. Yeah all that CNC upgrades are worthless!

@@westhobbiesrc8051 mine seems to fly alright ,got it off eBay about 3 months ago in a bid ,came from Russia ,but that dude had the servos all upgraded and runs on 3s with this lynx ..I bet out of the box they was twitchy this one seems to handle good , I haven't dumped it yet tho,

The motor is German made ,it was in a box ,I don't have the kv in front of me now but il look when I get home ,,it's just a bigger round brushless motor called the turbo motor , I looked into other motors too , and lynex had one you could purchase that was slightly smaller but still more powerful than the original

@@westhobbiesrc8051 ya the bl2 now are just way over priced for all the helicopter they are...two a beginner they would alright ..but if he had to spend his money one I'd get the 150 or the m1 in a heartbeat before I'd spend the same amount of money on the bl2, .

I dumped a bunch of money into my 130 ex years and years ago. It was still a hunk of crap lol it wasn’t that it was twitchy it was just constant vibrations from the tail and gears stripping out and servos failing all the time. I had to 150 as well and sold it as soon as I got the M2! Nothing will be the M2. The 150 is not a bad little machine but comparing to the end to it will never compete lol

Great video, and thanks for the tip about the fabric paint; it's much cheaper than black liquid electrical tape. I'd be interested in what kind of screwdriver you used to get the main gear screw out of the shaft. I couldn't do it and ended up having to cut off the end of the shaft and gear with my dremel, destroying both (luckily I had purchased new ones just in case). And now I can't get the new screw into the new shaft without stripping the head of the screw. For now I'm just leaving the screw out since the gear is a really tight fit on the shaft.

the fabric paint is the best! love that stuff! as far as the screw driver, it’s a old hobby co number 1 Phillips. that screw can be very hard to get out! not the best design

I think I have two of those. One I’ve flown inside the house and had a ball with it and one is still in the box. It kinda goes together like the little 120SR which they finally came out with one that is stable. I could build several 120SR ‘s with the spare parts I have 🤣🤣🤣

It’s not a bad helicopter! For its time it was great but comparing to the M1it is a pain in the ass to work on lol I had a 120SR years ago I had it for a day and returned it lol it was not my cup of tea at all!

@@westhobbiesrc8051 yeah the 120SR’s weren’t very good. They were what I learned on which may have made me fly better with better designed helicopters later. They just came out with one like in the last year which is fly barless and is more stable than the first 2 versions. I think Blade does a lot of trial and error at the consumers expense! None of the 120’s Blade has will perform 3D maneuvers at least I don’t think they will. I may try the M1 first if I can find one then the M2.

The 120 SR is exactly that it is a training learning helicopter. Fixed pitch gives you the rough idea on how to do circuits and flying around and you can even learn how to fly backwards circuits with a really good helicopter to have. The older ones were just crack with crappy servos and tail motor is burning out all the time lol The M1 is an incredible machine. But if you were going to buy one of the two I recommend the M2 first!

No the 120 SR will not perform 3-D so much I did get my old one to do a loop lol

@@westhobbiesrc8051 Yeah I’ve looped em several times after flying forward fast and catching the skids on something! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the advice on the M-2. That’s the way I’ll do it then👍 I just cancelled the Typhoon because it was back ordered and they said they had no idea when I’d get it, so I’ll take that $216 and put it towards the M2 😃
