Just keep at it man! Take you time and fly as much as can! It takes time, don’t worry about flying upside down or anything. Learn your orientations! That will make you 100 times the better pilot!

I’ve been using microheli parts for 10 plus years so when they asked me to test parts and do builds for them I was honored and excited! Such an incredible company and they make incredible parts. Not only do they look fantastic but they really help the flight performance of the helicopter. I would like to get the 150 S next to try! I’ve yet to have one

@@shanehoule9477 thanks man I appreciate that! It takes time! I’ve been flying for 27 years. Literally been flying my entire life. Started flying at 2 years old, I got into helis around 7 years old but they really sucked back then! Lol we didn’t have the helis and Technology we do now! That nano will look great man!

How do you level the swashplate?
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 2 жыл бұрын
I used the MicroHeli swash leveler and go to mid stick on collective and adjust the link ends till it’s level. Only real way to do it on the BL2. There is no servo centering mode or anything.

Nice build, the helicopter looks really good. It is hard to build micro helicopters because the parts are so small. But you did it man 😃👍

@@westhobbiesrc8051 Do note, CF is conductive, if wires have chafed insulation they can short through CF. This killed the ESC in my 230 smart. Checking for shorts before installing a battery can be recommended.

@@henrik3129 Yes carbon fiber is conductive. That’s why you should always wet sand any edges that wires could be/will be in contact with. What carbon fiber on the 230? It is a plastic frame unless you changed it?

@@westhobbiesrc8051 CF boom killed it. The stock boom broke on the first flight, when the heli did a ritual sepuku, after trying to murder me first, I suspect the heli is faulty in the Fc somehow, it has never worked as it should, from day 1.

Thank you for this information. I wish you had explained how you leveled the swash plate. Im gonna get the 2 blade version of this kit with the white dragonfly canopy. I see microheli offers a carbon main shaft as well as the titanium. What's better? Thanks again!
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I just used the included swash plate leveler and plugged the heli in went to mid stick and sure the heli was level and unplugged and adjusted from there but it only needed one turn on the right servo. The titanium main shaft is what I have in my kit and the carbon is like what comes with the heli stock. You will enjoy the build of this kit, awesome quality!

@@westhobbiesrc8051 thanks for the reply, my bl2 seems to have an aluminum main shaft and it gets bent easily if I crash (new pilot here). That's why I was wondering about carbon vs metal. Seems like carbon might "spring" back to straight vs bending.
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 2 жыл бұрын
@@IsaacBayer is it black? Maybe it is Aluminum, never really looked. Titanium is going to be much stronger than aluminum. The problem with carbon fiber is yes it does not bend but it does break in splinter. Carbon fiber is very strong but very weak at the same time. As soon as it splinters it’s useless! So if you have a crash that cracks it it is just like bending it. Unfortunately something always Hass to give and or break on the helicopter there is no such thing as some thing that can withstand crashes. Because if the main shaft survives now you’re bending feathering shaft at the feathering shaft is made stronger to survive now you’re breaking main frame so on and so forth. Something Hass to be weak to take the force and give.

@@westhobbiesrc8051 yes it is black, and the manual says aluminum. Bends easily causing vibration, which then makes the gyro go bonkers. Thanks for the info, makes sense!

@@IsaacBayer The titanium will definitely be stronger. Titanium is always stronger than aluminum so it will take more of a beating. The maiden flight video goes up tomorrow, I crashed it and picked it up and kept flying.

I notice the PCB says MCPXBL2 v2. I wonder if the original PCBs (v1?) which many users had complaints about have been superseded by this one, which, to my knowledge, don't have ?any? issues?

I’m not sure I will look into that. I know that the original board does have quite a bit of issues. I really hope and wonder if the V2 board is better

What up bro?...so i got the sonicwake V1 and then got all the mods for it and then the V2 came out...now im on the fence about either getting the sonicwake V2 or the thrasher V3 or the blade gas boat from tfl...i dont know what to do...i like the thrasher because you can run it anyware and i could use it as a recovery boat as well but i do want to get into gas boats and since i have the sonicwake v1 i want the v2 because of the new electronics and lightweight hull design...so tell me a little bit about gas boats...i assume you can run all day?
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 2 жыл бұрын
What’s up buddy, so that’s really a personal preference. The V2 is a really nice boat but if you are already molding the V one there’s really no point. The thrasher V3 is really cool but not sure if it’s really worth the amount they want. But I’ve seen them and they are really cool! Gas boats are nice because it’s just gas and go! You can run all day but of course electric is faster. If you want speed look at the TFL Genesis or Proboat miss Geico.

@@westhobbiesrc8051 What up bro?...sorry to keep asking questions but i dont really have anybody around here that does rc stuff but anyways...when looking at electric motors from offshore electrics...on the winds/rpm...what does 1.5Y, 2.5D, and so on and so forth mean?...i understand kv but not that other stuff...basically im trying to find a super badass motor that i could put into the sonicwake...i would upgrade my esc to 160amps and above but i want to make something crazy...i dont care if i have to drill out for a bigger stuffing tube if i need too but could you help me out on choosing a motor that i could make fit into the sonicwake?...i need to stay in the "40"mm diagmeter but it can be a little bit bigger...i can drill out the motor mounts and make them bigger to fit a bigger motor...ironclad did it with a "sss4074" but i dont know if there is anything else that is more powerfull?

So 1.5Y or 2.5Y and so on is how some companies measure KV. So picking a motor is going to depend on staying 6s or 8s or so on. If your staying 6s I would say anything from 1700-2000KV. Also depending on prop size you want to run. If going 8s I would say 1400-1700KV. The motor from the new V2 is a nice motor! With the 160A ESC and good prop it will do 80mph!
