I love the brutality of Heimdall's death. Because you see how much Kratos was holding back before by one simple detail. Every other time Kratos beat someone to oblivion, Mimir stays perfectly on his belt. This is the first time we see him hit so hard Mimir comes tumbling off.

Seeing 7:42 is so interesting. In the original scene, Kratos is horrified he's stepping back into that "monster" persona. With the Young Kratos skin, it feels doubly so, as this is the version we played with to wipe out the Greek Pantheon. There was that physical separation between the older Kratos and the Younger one, and with Heimdall calling him a monster, that separation is now completely nonexistent. Someone will be bold enough to make an AI voice pack for Carson's voice, and from there, we'll get a whole new perspective on how to play this game.

what people seem to fail to realize is the bosses dont exactly react to the blade of olympus, they would need to record new lines for that and edit the ENTIRE game to make it so they use the new voice lines. They react to the rage ability not the weapon

😂 that was my motivation to Beat the Heimdall challenge in give me God of war difficulty ❤ Even when I get hit and the end of the fight completely restarted it. Overall it needed about 3 hours and trying to enter the perfect run i was so proud LOL I am not an active KZbinr bei always Upload stuff like this to my own channel for about 10-15 years 😂 Beating give me God of war in Ragnarok was one of the hardest experiences in my gaming life... ❤ But honestly it was totally worth it i recorded both runs the first run on normal and eighty hours later the untouchable GMGOW battle of Asgard was so much more powerful because you have to get better and better and overall you learnt to don't get touched at all 😊 (😂 And because the only way to get better is by eating s*** getting killed and so learning all enemy types and their moves🎉)

Also the Blade wouldn’t really have much power to begin with even had Kratos gotten the real thing back. It’s just a big sword now. All the power it used to have is gone. Kratos could empower it, but only at a fraction of the original power. Still, that would be enough to cleave most gods and monsters with enough hits.

Kratos cannot empower the Blade at all. He has never been seen with the ability to imbue weapons with his own power, that's literally what Brok and Sindri are for. And the source of the Blades power, along with all Greek abilities, was depleted when Zeus died.

I say older kratos is pretty efficient in how he dispatch Heimdall, no over the top stuff like the Greek old days just straight to the point while retain the anger and much more glimpse into the monster that made him in the previous entry. I know Heimdall death is underwhelming but in the end, its still great that we get to beat the shit out of him. Beside, Heimdall managed to bring out the Kratos that killed Greek Pantheon like how Baldur managed to do unlike Thor who didn't even managed that except for one single moment. Do t get me wrong, I would like to see Young Kratos gives Heimdall over the top death but Older Kratos still managed to scare me just how quick and straight to the point he is instead of wasting energy unlike in the Greek game.

That's true but you gotta remember that's been the same for almost every other god Kratos faced and he still killed them regardless. It's called using the environment or prep. That's just how most of the games are. Kratos needed Gaia's help to kill Poseidon, Kratos needed Pandora's box to kill Ares and Zeus, Hermes was outsmarted by a catapult Kratos found, certain enemies can only be killed by certain weapons you obtain, In the end, Kratos STILL killed Heimdall regardless how he did it as well. It was after all his idea to talk to the Dwarves in the first place to create a counter weapon.

This is probably the weakest plot/scene in the game. How the hell Freyr gets captured by some Einherjar? It would have made more sense if Heimdal and/or Thor were the ones to capture him. He was nerfed so they could capture him? LOL
