The ones who say that D2 steel is not the best choice, probably you're right when we talk about a kitchen chef but as to a camping knife Bob Dozier as well these guys would argue with you. D2 is absolutely perfect for survival knives, hunting and fishing.

Awesome looking knives! Please use some others steels!!

Nope the D2 they use are heat treated to perfection,just as good with it as ESEE is with the 1095 Rowan steel. No need to fix something that is perfect. Steel snobbery is just dumb

@@THEUCCTV they're a custom knife shop and I sent them an idea and ask for a quote, still nothing. Guess they don't want my thousand bucks.

Guys they are not a "knife company". They are just two custom knife makers. They are mostly busy designing their blades and running very limited production batches at a time.

I just ordernd the Wander Godfather for a customer of mine and returned it to my wholesaler the next day. This Giant knife with its much too thin handle comes in such a bad finish that I would have hurt myself if using it whithout gloves. Cannot recommend it!
@bushcraft_in_the_north Жыл бұрын
A large chopper is suposed to have a slim handle,that is the only way to hold on to a chopper. A thick handle just wears you out,if you dont have gorilla hands that is. Just grow some thicker skin,it will do you good. Or you could have sanded it down a little in 5 min. I se you say this here and there on Wander Tactical vids here on KZbin. You are usin snap cuts with a chopper,not easy to do with thich handles. Good to see someone make it right for once.
