5 Modern Car Features We ALL LOVE! Car Companies been taking lots of L's lately, but every now and then, a BIG W shows up! I’m a sucker for flex mobiles of all kind and the hardest way to flex is to enter and exit your car with some CUSTOM Doors BAYBEEE. This is how doors open on yo house. This is how doors open on a Spaceship, Japanese Interiors. The Slide, the Swoop, the Upsweep. I WANT IT ALL. Sedans, Coupes, Trucks, Vans, even God Forbidden SUVS. They all look cool as hell with Clear Tail Lights. Even Scooters look amazing with Clear Tail Lights! Rear View Live Feed Cameras?
Inhale Sigh These are so cool.

Here's a modern car feature that should be implemented in every car manufacturer and honestly would benefit alot of people who wanna go get their car serviced. An onboard car diagnosis system. Like incase there's something wrong with your car, your car would tell you exactly what's wrong with it so that you don't get ripped off by a mechanic whose trying to squeeze every last penny out of you at the shop.

i actually like sport mode. in my car it only makes the steering stiffer and throttle is stronger. which makes me enjoy the road more and its easier to heel and toe since I don't have to press the throttle as much to blip. with sport mode off it drives really smoothly. i don't have any suspension changes or exhaust flap just those 2 things and it still completely transforms the car into "attack" mode :D that's one feature i like. owning a performance car is good but being able to daily drive it with ease is also great. another feature i like even tho i never experienced it before is that Opel sunroof. it looks more like manual convertible rooftop but with glass roof on top. you can just slide it and bam. sun! it looks cool. oh and i also like busses. i want to help people who don't like driving. less people on road means more space for me to wzooomm!!!

As a bus driver, we get paid decently (obv depending on your garage and area) and it's pretty fun imo to drive 600k-1.2mil dollar vehicles that you don't have to pay for the maintenance/fuel of lol It's true though, I really do believe that only people who want to drive should have to. One of my favorites is heated seats and a heated steering wheel because I live in a place where it gets cold in the winter. Another one would be the speed limiter. It's a thing in Volvo (probably some other cars also have it, but I just don't know about them). It's something like cruise control, but you just can't go above the speed you've set up unless you push the gas pedal hard. My favorite as I had a reckless driving fine and if I break the law again, they might send me to driving school. Great to obey the law and not have to watch your speedometer constantly if you're speeding or not.

@@franciscobatista4334 Oh? I wasn't aware of that. I only know that e36, e46, e90, e39, e60, e38 and e65 have regular cruise control. But those are older generations, they probably added it to the newer ones. And as far as I know, Volvo v60 has it which was released in 2010. Thanks for letting me know either way.
@Vepantteri

Heated seats are a good thing in the winter for sure. But my 1986 Nissan Cherry has them too, so it's not a new thing, depending on what you consider "modern". I have also found that while speed limiters in cars are fairly new, you can get a better and more accurate feel of the speed in older cars, generally speaking.

I think along with clear taillights, another feature that I really like is "smoked" taillights and headlights from factory. By that I mean the ones that have the headlamp housing blacked out and only the lens is clear (mostly present in projector headlight setups) and taillights that are dark but have brighter LEDs to compensate for it like in the current 3 series and 5 series LCI for example. Not many economy cars have this but I wish they did tbh it makes them look really nice imo.

As someone who chooses not to afford newer cars (I drive a 2003 Subaru Baja), I fucking LOVE Bluetooth integrated audio systems, it's one of those things that only started to become standard like 10ish years ago. My first car was a 05 Taurus, and that car was designed before aux ports were even a thing in cars, and the way the center console was designed you could not simply replace it with a modern unit (you'd have to rip it all apart since the piece was unique to the model instead of having a standard block-type unit like a lot of cars) so I was pretty much stuck with CDs until I got a device that connected to BT and emitted a radio signal that you could then tune the radio to. It worked but highly impractical if you're on a road trip and the signal you set it to is now occupied by an actual station and you can't get anything from your device, plus there was a constant quiet static even at the best of times). Finally I got a newer car, a 2013 Focus ST which had a modern infotainment system and man it was good, had proper BT, would instantly connect when I turned the car on. Unfortunately wrecked my ST recently, so I managed to get a Baja and luckily it has a modern aftermarket stereo which is great because it has an aux port!...but phones (including mine) don't have aux ports anymore. So I had to get a bluetooth to aux unit. Notice how it all comes back to bluetooth? I suppose this isn't the newest feature around these days, but there are many cars still on the road that don't have it! It's great for folks like me who enjoy listening to their own music rather than the radio. It's one of those things that's taken for granted. Hell, how many of us here are into early 00s, 90s, 80s and earlier cars? They definitely didn't come standard with bluetooth! We should at least be thankful aftermarket audio systems are a thing.

Two features you can mention in a future video are Speed Limiters and paddle shifters(not the ones on cvt transmissions, thats just stupid). Speed limiters as they give you peace of mind that you can modulate your right foot without worrying about going over the speed limit and racking up tickets. Unless youre going downhill you can bury your right foot and your not going to go over the limit you set. Paddle shifters (especially in torque converters) help in modulating the revs when you either want to get raucus and hold a gear or quiet things down when you want for instance getting kids to sleep in the back. Being able to do that on demand is a great convenience.

@@colbyentzminger217 well if you like it, more power to you. To me its like beer with no alcohol or flavourless chewing gum, sure you can do it, but whats the point? The CVT mechanically has no gears and doesnt have to deal with that drama, its always where it needs to be for the best fuel economy and yes it can drone when you floor it and very little is going on with the speedometer, but so so 4 speed torque converters.

My favorite feature in modern cars is digital meters. I think they look slick and knowing exact numbers can be useful. Although I don't like that we had to sacrifice the oil pressure gauge for them...

I know the purists like to complain about it, but the keyless entry-button start system is the best thing in the world.

@reaperreaper5098
@reaperreaper5098 Жыл бұрын
@@mindfreeze0838 Yes. Keyless entry systems are notoriously easy to steal, all you need is a wireless signal repeater and to be able to get close enough to the key to pick up the signal (it’s always broadcasting), and with most houses and apartments, the signal can be picked up from anywhere in that house without entering. The keys use the same wireless encoding as garage door openers, and you can buy transcievers that store the signals to memory for a few hundred bucks. The most secure system is the RFID imbedded in a physical key that precedes the current system. They only broadcast a signal over a few inches to maybe a few feet, and often only when near the corresponding reader built into the ignition as its only passively powered.
