In 15 years behind the wheel, I never once drove without the seat belt. And it has nothing to do with safety, nor with cops and tickets. It's just much more comfortable to drive through the curves when you are held in place by the belt, instead of having your ass slide left and right, making your feet less in control of the pedals, which makes the driving and shifting less smooth and jerky.

I absolutely agree with you on littering, and I have a good story about it. About 2 months before the pandemic hit my area, I was in a gas station parking lot parked next to some jackass in a V-6 Mustang, and the jackass tosses his cup into the ditch behind us. So I got out of my F-150 really pissed off, picked it up, and silently handed it back to him while glaring at him directly in the eyes, and of course he's freaked the fuck out by this 6'3"/190cm and 300lb/136kg sasquatch in steel toed boots who's ready to strangle him for being a dumbfuck, and you know what his piss poor excuse for littering was? "Oh, I didn't see you there, boss." Honestly, I still can't believe that was his excuse for littering, but I made sure he walked his lazy ass to the trashcan 25 feet away while glaring at him the entire time until he drove away a few minutes later. I usually go out of my way to avoid picking fights, but I felt like a total badass for a week for setting him straight without uttering a single word from my mouth.

Put your seatbelt on, there's no reason not to. I've had people refuse to buckle up or even unbuckle mid-drive after I told them I won't drive them anywhere if they don't put it on. If you take it off, I will leave your ass on the side of whatever road you took it off on. I left a friend on the highway because he refused to put it back on, I truly do not understand. "REAL MEN DO NOT BREATH" would be even more useful. And put the sign "REAL MEN USE GILLS TO BREATHE" as a bonus, to make sure those who're stupid enough to follow through and actually succeed could be further investigated by area 51 laboratory researchers, to help International countries research polluted marine life.

Disagree with #2. Drive how fast you feel is safe in inclement weather, and alert other drivers if it's slower than the flow of traffic. Everything else is spot on.

The part about increasing public traffic to get non-car MFs off the road isn't just an America thing. If we could get people who actually are good at driving and enjoy it the majority on the road, I agree, we will achieve world peace.

I remember seeing a woman driving some sort of cadillac crossover of some sort texting and driving on the highway drifting onto the shoulder with her rear windshield bashed out covered with lawn bags or something lol

That second one is so true. I absolutely hate the fact that traffic slows down significantly when light rain is in the area. I’m from Dallas, and everyone goes from an average speed of anywhere between 70-80mph to 55 on major highways because of rain

That's not necessarily a bad thing, especially if the drainage on the highways isn't good enough to manage that level of rain effectively enough. Even in light rain you can still hydroplane if there isn't enough drainage and you're going too fast

@BladedAngel One of the most infuriating things I come across way too often (that you didn't mention in the here but is easily a video by itself), distracted driving. My feelings towards that is summed up very well by this James May quote from Top Gear news: "I want to put their head in a brown paper bag & bludgeon them to death with a blunt end of an axe."

What I hate more about the seat belt issue is that if I do buckle up as a passenger, half the people here interpret this as "you don't trust my driving" Absolutely stupid.

Damn near every car on the road today has a cruise control button that will never be pressed. It's reverse speed matching. Three out of every 4 cars I pass uphill with cc set at 70 will blow my doors off on the downhill

Here in Australia, both parties get fined for not wearing a seatbelt, and any fine doubles if it's in a school zone.
